AAAAARGGGHHH! I just saw the REAL festie schedules for the first time...Conflicts much??? But I guess when you shut a festie down at 7 pm....whatcha gonna do?? Have TONS o Late nite shows ;D
I'm in for Mule if someone goes to Umps with me! ;D ;D
Man those are terrible conflicts. I'm going to miss John Prine to see Stevie Wonder. Some conflicts are five deep.
I'll be at both nights of Mule so no UM for me. It would be cool to see you there. They should have good openers. The last two years they had Dr. John as the Night Tripper and Galactic as well as the Dirty Dozen Brass Band both years. The Contemporary Arts Center is a dump. It's a roof over the space between two buildings with a concrete floor, port-a potties, and no chairs. Fortunately they have a full bar and little or no security.
You had me at full bar! ;D LOL! And Dirty Dozen Brass Band! Saw one of the founders on New Years...Jamie McCollum...he was incredible!! He opened for Dr John...wow. Oh well..you'll see me...I'll def be at Mule one night for sure! Whatever isn't Umps night - LOL! ;D
Lost Bayou Ramblers and Bonerama are two of my aftershows. Let's get a headcount and see if we can arrange a meetup during 2nd weekend, even if it's just at Liuzzas post-fest for a cold one!
her b-day is May 26 - so it was either take her to Beale Street Music Fest or haul her to Bonnaroo with us (which is not even close to ever happening - that is my time away from the kids)
Hey Bama it looks like UM is doing very late nite shows at the HOB both of the same nights at 2AM. If you have enough stamina you can do both UM and GM both nights.
NEW ORLEANS GOV'T MULE SHOWS Gov't Mule's shows at The Contemporary Arts Center on May 2nd and 3rd will be a celebration the 5th Anniversary of The Deepest End concert. The band will be joined by many special guests, who like at the original concert, will not be announced before they hit the stage. We are also pleased to announce that the two shows in New Orleans will be opened up by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals.

How about brunch? Court of Two Sisters, 10ish on Sat May 3rd? We did that for Voodoo and it was a lot of fun.
