The local news articles (previously posted by others) have talked about this ranch holding events for 10,000 people before. I know a music festival for 40,000 is different, but it's not like they are starting from scratch.
My gripes over Bonnaroo this year is that there was too much of the original jam-band base that was taken away. I was still going to go to Bonnaroo with the lineup, but it wasn't my favorite. But now, I've "built enough character" with the 11 hour drives and the 9 hour wtraffic jams. I'll gladly take a three hour drive instead to Rothbury.
I didn't do the math, but my reasoning is pretty much the same as yours. Although at Roo I can turn all my words into Roo words by adding a prefix or suffix. Haven't figured out how to do that with Rothbury.
Let's Roth-hang out at the Rothbury and get drunk-bury together.---See it just doesn't work. But we really should hang
i think maybe we should start calling it ROOthbury.... seems appropriate as it gets e excited like the old roo lineups.

dude i agree with you on one thing except for the portapotties at roo. ive always found them to be 'super nice' as far as potterpotties go..however you do go to about 200 more festies than i do/have .

This message is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty, and in no way are to be considered flaws or defects.

As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
everyone is forgetting about Govt. Mule!!! I remember i saw them here in Gainesville back when they first formed...and then I missed them at the roo due to too much alcohol and having to lie down and sleeping through it...I did sit up in my tent and listen to them tear it up though for a bit.

Man they were incredible as a trio with Allen Woody. I'm glad I caught them a couple times when he was alive.
I'm definitely there. About 2 hrs closer for me than roo. I think for a lineup like this even 40k looks like a low number. Does anyone know what they're actually capping it at? And I'm really hoping Phil headlines over Mayer and 311. I have a feeling he will.
