When news first broke of this fest here in the Muskegon Chronicle, I think it was right after Bonnaroo 07 ... and they mentioned Bonnaroo in the article - something like 'promoters are trying to build a festival similar to Bonnaroo'
AHHH...i just found the article here it is for anyone who cares.

In my mind, this festival could go a long ways towards ending Wakarusa. Waka, several weeks before, has a good lineup, but a history of law enforcement issues and a similar lineup. Folks east of the Mississippi are likely to take their business to Rothbury.
Wow, I really think this lineup is much better than Bonnaroo. Very solid lineup from top to bottom. Hopefully, we may see some additions to Bonnaroo based on what they have booked for Rothbury.

Is this on private property? Those Good Life packages are sweet... if you're a millionaire. $1500 per person, roughly. For a cabin with running hot & cold water, fridge, jacuzzi, buffet in the main facility, proximity to a bar and restaurant, and shuttle service to and from the festival.

its an interesting concept. a lot of ppl will go for it i bet. make it a nice little 4th of july weekend get away.
I liked their description of Jacob Dylan's band: Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Sed malesuada, nisi vel vulputate rhoncus, ligula magna luctus sem, ut venenatis turpis augue ac nisl. Suspendisse augue tortor, auctor ac, aliquam et, adipiscing vitae, quam. Praesent a libero nec metus dapibus rhoncus. Vestibulum commodo, pede nec malesuada blandit, est tellus fermentum risus, et tempor libero leo eget ante. Aenean sagittis lorem at nibh. Etiam commodo tincidunt ipsum. Sed commodo lorem quis arcu.
Wow... All these fests popping up, I have no idea what to do. What an awesome lineup though. Yes, I realize I have contributed absolutely nothing to this thread =)

It is private property. And all the cabins and bar/restaurant are REALLY nice inside...I've done a bit of work in there.

well this explains why gratefulfest was moved to labor day weekend. its hard to compete with that. i cant believe i might not go to nelson ledges for the 4th of july. that lineup seems too good to be real. wow.
i dont think waka is in much danger from this. kansas is far away. id be more worried about roo if i were you. i could do waka and this for the price of roo. and imo both lineups kick the poo out of roo.

While I agree with you about it having no affect on Waka, I do disagree that it is gonna even put a dent in Roo. I mean it seems like a great fest and all, but I dont see a festival that is projecting about 10,000 attendees, to even touch the 80,000+ that come to the farm each year. If anything, there will be the people who just do both, NOT just choose one.
kinda sucks that the 'festival grounds' close after the last band plays. guess that means more party time with the neighbors.
no latenights? BOOOO.
i dont see anything saying no late nights. unless im missing something. i think it just means that the stage area will close after the last show. which are probably the latenight shows. thats what i got from it anyhow. i dont see how you can have a lineup like that and not have late nights. it wouldnt make any sense.
