ROTHBURY TIME CAPSULE Help to decide what best defines our time!
What from our world today would you choose to preserve for future generations to unearth? What story would you want to tell in 2058 or 2108 about who we are, and what we were about?
ROTHBURY will be burying a sealed Time Capsule during the event. And YOU get to choose what is in it!
Time Capsule suggestions will be accepted beginning March 10. Deadline for submission is May 31, 2008. Sign up information will be posted to this page.
We’ll pick the 5 best submissions, based on pertinence and creativity, to be included in the ROTHBURY Time Capsule. The top entry will win One Lifetime ROTHBURY VIP Pass. Maybe you'll be there when the Time Capsule is opened.
i dont see anything saying no late nights. unless im missing something. i think it just means that the stage area will close after the last show. which are probably the latenight shows. thats what i got from it anyhow. i dont see how you can have a lineup like that and not have late nights. it wouldnt make any sense.
They could always pull what Langerado did the past few years!
i dont think waka is in much danger from this. kansas is far away. id be more worried about roo if i were you. i could do waka and this for the price of roo. and imo both lineups kick the poo out of roo.
While I agree with you about it having no affect on Waka, I do disagree that it is gonna even put a dent in Roo. I mean it seems like a great fest and all, but I dont see a festival that is projecting about 10,000 attendees, to even touch the 80,000+ that come to the farm each year. If anything, there will be the people who just do both, NOT just choose one.
wow i cant believe they are expecting 10,000 for this. i would think way way more. i guess i better get on this as its probably gonna sell out. and it probably wont hurt roo too much. they are drawing crowds from too entirely different groups of music lovers.

a lineup like that better have some latenight action!

Wait. Where did 10,000 come from? That seems really low for a lineup like that

I like Snoop and all, but I really dont get why people like him so much. Has he really done anything relavant to music in the past ten years or so? Aside from guest spots on songs most of you wouldnt be caught dead listening to (i.e. Pussycat Dolls, Mariah Carey, Akon...etc)
What is attracts people to him? Is it because he is a former corn fiend, you just really like "Doggystyle" alot, he is just a cool guy, or you still listen to and like everything he does?
It really boggles me, if he was at Bonnaroo, I dont think it would even cross my mind to go see him. Maybe just to hear some "Aint no fun...if the homies cant have none" (but we would need Nate Dogg and some Kurupt for that )

He's funny, his old $h1t is great, supports corn useage, funny, brings back memories. I don't know I like a lot of old school rap ie snoop, tribe, eric b and rakim etc...

I'm not a big Snoop fan, but I think seeing him will be freakin sweet. Man I can't wait for this!

I read it somewhere, IMO its crazy to think that Echo only drew 15000, with its amazing lineup. And this lineup should draw more? It probably will because of Dave Matthews alone. Who knows? Ethier way, I'm not going, Michigan is a loooooong way away from Los Angeles.
ya i really thought echo would have been bigger. but imo this lineup blows echo away. no killers for one. the f'lips just dont do it for me. and beyond the headliners this lineup is insane!

The lineup doesn't do much for me, but I'm glad it's getting you guys excited. It's about time that area got itself one of these fests. I know a lot of Michigan folks who are going to be excited.
Hmmm....with the Jambase 'addition' of the Emmit Nershi Band ... this officially puts every member of String Cheese Incident playing ... EOTO, Panjea w/Michael Kang, and Mosely with Keller and the WMD's ... could we have a possible SCI reunion?
This message is a natural hand made product. The slight variations in spelling and grammar enhance its individual character and beauty, and in no way are to be considered flaws or defects.
It could be a case with the Bonnaroo line-up. The Mars Volta has not released their entire 2008 tour schedule yet, when that does I think Rothbury and Bonnaroo will announce The Mars Volta. I think in both cases its just jumping the gun on announcing The Mars Volta.
all of string cheese, half of phish, and an insane lineup that will easily draw 30-40 thousand. this along with rado, echo, waka, all good, 10klf, etc.. could truly mean that roo is gonna hurt on sales. seriously. and it assures that the crowd will be all new.
