Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I wish I could swing this... I just don't think its do-able this year...if it were spaced from allgood it might be possible but I have to make allgood..
bonnaroo still has the deal-breakers for me with Sigur Ros, !!!, Ladytron, my morning jacket, BB King, and Ben Folds.
If I were able to take off work 4th of july weekend, then I would at least consider going to rothbury. I could ask John Mayer if this borat swimsuit is really comfortable.
for those who are travelling and want to do both rothbury and all good you should know that nelson ledges is 10 minutes off the highway that you take from rothbury to all good. its 10 bucks a night to camp there and its a wonderful place to be even when there isnt a fest going on. it sure beats driving home if its far or doing the hotel thing at 60 bucks a night. and its only about an hour from allgood

Damn you inforooers are quick. I just found out about this and here is already 7 pages on it. What a ridiculous lineup and now I am torn. Yes it is a lot of the same bands from Bonnaroo past...but so what. I love these bands. Making a comment like that is saying that you would not want to see Phish again because you have already seen them so many times. Of course, what is going to happen is that I choose this one over Bonnaroo and don't buy my tickets this saturday and then come next week Zepplin gets announced and then all the tickets are gone...and then I get pissed. This is a tough ass decission.
i do have one complaint. and like alot of my complaints its one ive made before. but why are bands like 311, dave matthews, and john mayer billed above phil!!!!!! its crazy!! i know they wanna have some mainstrea names that people will recognize in the top line to sell tickets but come on!!!!!! phil is a legend! he helped build this whole festival thing. wheres the respect??

That line-up would have been a great return to form for Bonnaroo last year. But I think Roo has just gone in a different direction. I like the different bands Bonnaroo has and how it isn't just playing the same bands over and over each year.
Yeah that's a pretty sweet line-up other than most places don't have TMV listed as playing and I don't like 311. Also I think the smaller bands are much better at Roo. There seems to be a big drop off at this festival after Crystal Method. The headliners are better for Rothbury but I think overall, Roo has it beat.
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."
The headliners are better for Rothbury but I think overall, Roo has it beat.
The headliners might be better (and I stress the word might), but if you think you've seen bitching with Metallica headlining, you wouldn't believe the amount of bitching there would be if WSP headlined a second straight year....
Pearl Jam VS DMB Metallica VS WSP Jack Johnson VS John Mayer
the headliners are about equal in my opinion (would rather see dmb over pj but would rather see jj over jm), but seeing the name PRIMUS on that lineup sent tinglies up my spine.

You are correct sir! However The Secret Machines and Gomez are unreal live! Crystal Method late night would be amazing!
that is a pretty good lineup. Though, I have to admit, I have little interest in travelling to see Dave, Panic, 311 and John Mayer. I do wish some of those bands were playing Bonnaroo though... PRIMUS!!!
at $250 on a weekend most people travel to go on "REAL" vacations, I wonder how many people this will draw? I can't imagine it'll top 40K, but good ole Dave may bring half that on his own.
I also think it's interesting how many people are basically trying to do what Bonnaroo did 6 years ago. At some point, some of these festivals will have to give. I've already heard a rumor that Vegoose's goose is cooked....
Help me out people! I can either do Rothbury VIP Cabins and nothing else this summer (except ACL) or Rothbury regular camping follwed by AllGood regular camping.
The Bonnaroo lineup has Pearl Jam (never seen them but have been listening to them since 1991), Jack Johnson (but i have seen him twice before), BB King, Levon Helm, DSO, Allmans, Rilo Kiley and a few singer songwriters (all of which i have seen) plus the Dead shit and a some other stuff. . But this one has Dave Matthews Band, Primus, and nearly all of SCI. Rothbury by a nose (just looking at the lineup). When is the AllGood and 10,000 Lakes lineup coming out?
just a rumor that they are pulling the plug on Vegoose. They wanted it to be Bonnaroo west, but after 2 years of declining ticket sales, they will not be renewing the festival in 2008. I've heard they tried to sell the name off to another production company, and move the festival to somewhere else (other than Sam Boyd).
I really have nothing to base this on other than internet chatter. I did think it was interesting that when they ran the Vegoose contests last year, they only offered tickets to Bonnaroo 2008, where as when they ran those contests in 2006, they were offering your choice of tickets to EITHER Bonnaroo 2007 or Vegoose 2007.
I really wouldn't be shocked to see Vegoose go under or be sold off, but the site does say "Check back for 08." So it could be just a rumor....
