So who has been to Virgin festival? How is the setup & atmosphere?
I think thats some pretty solid headliners and would be somewhat interested in checking it out. I just came upon some extra money so I'm throwing the idea around of another festival in August.

They've announced the 'top 5', as it were. Here is, approximately, the top 5 from last year: Police, Pumpkins, Beasties, Incubus, and 311. This left acts like Wu Tang Clan, Modest Mouse, Interpol, Velvet Revolver (ugh), and Crystal Method. Is Muse more popular (in the states) than those? If not, still hope Porvida!
True. I forgot the majority of those played.I didn't even see Beasties due to a LCD conflict. Holding out hope. And Besides if Pendulum is for real on that line up. I'm gonna go apes*it.

Well, the boyfriend and I determined that *IF* Pendulum is confirmed for Virgin, then we are there. They're one of the few electronic acts that could make us drive 12 hours, haha. It was between Shpongle + Skazi + Hallucinogen (the band) at Underground Sound in Illinois, or this, which is the same weekend. Virgin's probably the better deal.
Virgins Electronic tent is second to none (unless you do Ultra or Sonar or any other Electronic festival). I believe Pendulum is playing and now Wilco is confirmed.. I am still leaning towards this.

Love Jack Johnson, but can't make it to the Coachella Festival this weekend? KROQ and the AT&T blue room have you covered.
Join KROQ's Kevin & Bean as they have "Breakfast with Jack Johnson," a LIVE webcast interview and acoustic performance event taking place backstage at Coachella. It all kicks off this Friday, 4/25 at 8:00am (PST) at www.attblueroom.com/music.
Join Jack as he plays tracks off his new album Sleep Through The Static.
If you can't make it on Friday morning, make sure you log on to the AT&T blue room ( www.attblueroom.com/music) for the Coachella webcast ALL WEEKEND LONG for a second chance to see Jack’s performance!
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

Well with that news, I think the boy and I are going to plan on it. The opportunity to see Pendulum is motivation enough! haha. We did go to Ultra this year, but I am looking forward to seeing some of the rock acts along with some electronic goodness!
I am hearing chatter that the line up is released on Monday.
Yeah... So... (via Consequence Of Sound)
Pollstar reveals partial Virgin Fest lineup? By Alex Young on April 26th, 2008
On Monday, the Baltimore edition of Virgin Mobile Festival is expected to reveal the rest of its 2008 lineup. However, last night it looks like someone over at Pollstar couldn’t contain their excitement and posted a series of lineup confirmations on the website.
Confirmed by Pollstar?:
Saturday: Bloc Party, Cat Power, Chuck Berry, Citizen Cope, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Duffy, Erol Alkan, Ferry Corsten, Foo Fighters, Gogol Bordello, Jack Johnson, KT Tunstall, Lupe Fiasco, Paramore, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Soulwax, Steve Lawler, The Offspring, The Swell Season, Underworld, Wilco
Sunday: Armin Van Buuren, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Chromeo, Deadmau5, Iggy Pop, Lil’ Wayne, Moby, Nine Inch Nails, Pendulum, Richie Hawtin, Stone Temple Pilots, Taking Back Sunday, The Black Keys
Pollstar has since taken down the listings, and while there is no word on their validity, the revealed lineup seems quite plausible. Aside from Kanye West, all the currently announced headliners, and other confirmations appearing on our Virgin Festival outlook page appear
Pendulum + Underworld + Black Keys and Wilco = NO APW. . Oh yeah. And Lil' Wayne too.
