Keller Williams, Chevy Chase, Doug E. Fresh, Leslie West and Nicholas Payton Confirmed for the Jammys
additions:
A handful of additional artists have been added to the line-up for the 7th Jammy Awards. The latest round of artist additions includes: Keller Williams, comedian Chevy Chase, MCs Chali 2na (Jurassic 5) and Doug E. Fresh, guitar-icon Leslie West (Mountain), neo-bop jazz trumpetist Nicholas Payton and drum legend Roy Haynes. While most of the evening’s collaborations will remain a surprise until show time, we can reveal that Williams will perform with Chase, who actually played drums with Steely Dan's Donald Fagen and Walter Becker in college.

it was fun... just a bunch of amazing artists covering great music. all of phish was there to accept the award but we only got Trey playing with the Fab Faux (who were awesome btw)..cant understand why Phish didnt play - i mean they were THERE on stage together. Brownie and Barber (of the biscuits) played with the "headcount allstars" i foget who else was playing with them and they covered a bunch of phish songs including Wilson. i cant remember the names of the other songs (bad phish fan)... uhmmmmm....other stuff happened.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
it was awesome. finally home. so happy i caught the 1:00 train else i would had to have waited til 1:50 and still not home. need to figure out how to get these pics off my phone. 2nd row ga! trey was literally right in front of me. it was amazing. i wish they played and kinda had the expectation of it from talking to people outside and then seeing trey's amp. it was an amazing show. im so happy they were all there. that's all i really expected. rose hill drive was awesome in that they blew away in the morning of magicians by the flips with matisyahu. all in all it was a great night. i didnt move from my spot center 2nd row ga pit the whole night. simply amazing. now i have to sleep.

Late Night with Galactic
After appearing at the 7th Jammy Awards, Galactic headlined the official Jammys post-party at New York’s B.B. King’s Blues Club. The Jammys post-party is known for its special guests and this year’s festivities proved to be no exception. 8-year old Japanese guitar prodigy Yuto Miyazawa, who worked the crowd into frenzy when he presented the New Groove Award at the Jammys, was escorted onstage with Galactic by Zenbu Media president Steve Bernstein, and proceeded to lead the quintet through a cover of Ozzy Osborne’s “Crazy Train.” Miyazawa played a v neck guitar the size of his pint-size body to thunderous applause well past his bedtime. The young guitarist also made a stealth appearance earlier this week at an open mic. night held at New York’s Rodeo Bar. As expected, Galactic also invited several old friends onstage throughout its late night set, including Jurassic 5’s Charlie 2na and Cheme Gastelum.
the little japanese kid they speak of was a badass. i got to high 5 him when i was going to the bathroom ;D
nice. i was hoping he would play. i was saying to people on the train home that gonna have to write that name down for the future when has band. what a night. galactic is awesome. i will always remember the energy during the beginning of guitar weeps when trey made an appearance at the side of the stage then nonetheless he comes out and plays and the place went nuts. i situated myself in front of the middle mic stand because of trey's amp being there. it was a big conversation piece before the show.
here's two i took off the camera phone so far. gotta find better way then sending to email. they are kinda blurry cause camera phone but you get the drift. wish i brought my digital but im always concerned cause if they dont allow then its goodbye camera cause theres nowhere to put it when you take the train down.
here;s the yuto video off youtube they showed. the kid is nasty. he's only 8. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qizRvpYHmrw&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qizRvpYHmrw&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, "Holy sh*t ... what a ride!"
they missed the best part. they missed the ovation he got. it was nuts. being so close he was visible at the start but didnt think anything other than he was in the house and at that point definately thought it was going down. these two songs took the cake im thinking. it was insane.
