no sir, I don't like it
LOL! ;D
I have to agree with Mr Horse on this one. I never understood why people listen to them. While I have never seen them live, I really don't like their music. I'd definitely skip that one.

It would depend on who else was playing against them. I wouldn't want them as a headliner, but if they were it wouldn't keep me from showing up. I could dig it. I vote option #3
people think 311 are hardcore, believe me, they shows are really not like that. Their albums have a lot of chill songs, they just decide to release the harder ones on the radio
i understand when people think of 311, they think of that song Down, but they are so much more than that
i think we should do a yay or nay on the yay or nay threads. whats next? yay or nay whitey ford or limp bizkit?
van halen, sheryl crow, aerosmith, incubus, 311....... im convinced that im trapped in some alternate rooality.
i guess everyones entitled to there discussions but if i had seen these threads about these bands when i first arrived at inforoo i would have kept on surfing.

Lighten up, Dude. It's just some people testing the inforoo waters. Besides, it's no fun to have a "Should Les Claypool or Mars Volta or Phil Lesh be at Roo in 2008" poll b/c we already know the answer. It's all in good fun. don't let others' tase in music offend your delicate jam-band sensibilities.

lol ;D i hear ya. and im not really upset about it. i think yall take me way too seriously most of the time. it just seems odd to hear about van halen, aerosmith, and incubus on a roo forum. i guess anythings possible after tool and the police. im not sure if superfly observes this site or not. but id hate for them to think that there is a demand within the roo comunity for aerosmith or van halen reunion. roo is kinda like watching a friend drowning and there are dozens of people with fire hoses trying to push it further under. but i will quit bitching. there is nothing i can do. ill just settle for paying 250+ dollars to see 2 latengihts and sundays headliner and shut up about it.
cream, ccr, santana, steve miller band, csny, wookiefoot, DSO, ozric tentacles, etc...
i agree its not as exciting to discuss because most would want them there. but it seems some of these are posted with the sole purpose of being silly. imo.

...the Steve Miller Band should not be a Bonnaroo, ever.
its all just a shock to the system. the lineups over the past couple of years and especially this year have changed roo an incredible amount. if people made these suggestions on inforoo a couple years ago they may have been kicked off the board for being a troll and trying to start shit. seriously.
like i said im just gonna have to accept what roo has become. im just used to roo being the centerpiece of the festie community. i have dozens and dozens of festival aquaintances and i cant find one that is willing to go to roo with me next year. 2 years ago it was just a given that you would see everyone of them at roo. so i dont know what im saying. i guess i just wanna bitch about things that are beyond my control. but roo was such a large part of everyones summer and in a matter of 2 years its been completley slaughtered. its just sad and upsetting to me. why do this to roo? keep roo what it was and make cochellpalooza a new fest. they own the property now. it wouldnt have been that hard to do. but i fear its too late. anything short of the dead on sat. and phish on sunday and i dont know anyone outside of myself with plans to go next year. inforoo peeps excluded of course.

ok we have a nay! ;D and id say the same. but if it was a daytime show id go see it. i love alot of their songs. if it was against dierks bently, the police, and the white stripes id go see it for sure. i like their music more then the police and they play together frequently so its not some reunion shitshow for money. and of course daytime, so there are other options.
I hear ya. I guess I just haven't given up all hope. Roo was different this year but I still had a blast. Althouh, a patchwork hole in my heart still needs to be filled. Next year I still want my Bonnaroo but I need a supplemental fest to get all I want.
By all that is right and just that supplemental fest SHOULD be Echo... dammit! grrrrrr.

just doesn't seem to fit the way the other bands you mentioned did. I think there would be a crowd for the show, but I wouldn't be in the audience. I would like to see Santana at roo, meant to see Salvador Santana Band, but missed it...

id try ashefest. if i lived anywhere near there i wouldnt miss it. but come to echo fest! its gonna be good times! and phil will make sure the festie peeps are around.
we played a game at roo to see who the first person to spot someone in patches, a tie dye, or crocs would be and it was incredible how hard it was to do sometimes. it blew all of our minds.
