Me and my bf was talking about Roo last year and he said he left Sunday, and I Said not this year, we are leaving Monday. Then he told me that the 2 other friends he went with left Saturday afternoon..which got me to thinking, when does everyone else usually head out??
Monday - I actually had a friend here - we were talking about WSP and he said "Well - now you can leave Sunday night" I told him there was no way I was leaving Sunday night - I was not leaving Bonnaroo until I had to
For me personaly it's sunday night. I am tired and I stink and I hate to admit it but I start to stress about work. I love Roo too much where I wanna do everything and see everyone and take like 2 or 3 hour naps. Not a good way to do things, honestly.
I live less than an hour away so I usually leave Sunday night so I can beat the traffic, shower and sleep in my own bed. But I sometimes stay 'til Monday if the vibe is right or I'm blocked in.
About 60% Sunday (3 times) 40% Monday (2 times) so I voted Sunday
Always Monday for me. I love the place too much. And I don't wanna drive the three hours home in the dark...it's best for me to sleep off the....confusion...

Physically I leave on Monday morning, mentally I never leave...

I don't think I could ever truly enjoy Sunday to it's fullest if thoughts of having to leave that night kept creeping in more and more and more as the day progressed... Monday is the ONLY option for me!

Same here, the only way I'd leave before Monday would be in the back of a police car, ambulance, or hearse.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
We left Sunday during WSP last year, beat some of the traffic, and went home to Nashville to sleep in our own beds. That's just how it worked out. I'm not sure about this year.
Then he told me that the 2 other friends he went with left Saturday afternoon
Jesus... Why bother even go if you're gonna leave on Sat afternoon??
I have a friend who had to leave Saturday afternoon (missed the headliner and everything) because he partook in too many...ahem..party favors and got sick.
As for me, I voted for Monday. We usually leave Sunday to beat the traffic but it doesn't really "catch up with me" until Monday!
Leaving monday is the only way to go for me. I can't even imagine leaving Sunday night. If they let me stay the whole freakin week I would. It's a sad time when I'm forced to get in my car and drive away from that awesome place.

The first year I went we left monday, every year since then we have left late sunday. I love Roo and I always try to stay till Monday, but other people I go with always opt to leave Sunday. I do my whole "but we paid good money to see music till monday!" and they do the whole "but it's sunday and we're exhausted and we have school and work this week - plus i don't really care for (add band here)." Then I get mad and head back to Centeroo and make them come find me if they want to leave.
I've left on Sunday the past two years right before the headliner, because the group I was with and myself didn't care to see them. Last year, a shower and hotel bed was much more enticing than seeing WP. This year, I'm going to try to see some of WP's set and then leave around 10 or 11

I stayed till Monday... but with the lack of a latenight and WSP as headliner, it's pretty laid back and not quite still that "ROOOO" feeling on Sunday... at least in the afternoon and in the extreme heat/dust.

I've left on both Sunday night and Monday morning. I liked leaving Sunday night because I've got a 12 hour drive and it's nice to get home in the AM and still have a day off before going back to the real world.
Last year we left Sunday night. This year, we were planning on leaving Monday morning, however, with the recent turn of events regarding the headliner, we may end up leaving Sunday evening.

Last year my frends decided on leaving for our 12 hour drive to Texas Sunday night during widespread panic, I didnt want to go at the time and dont plan on it again this year. I would rather sleep. The dust was a factor last year though. We did encounter a couple of interesting moments leaving sunday though. When we were waiting in line the car in front of us wasnt trying to get in line to the road, and eventually we got out to see why, and they had passed out in the front seats. We drove around them. and As we were leaving and people were walking by on the raod, someone asked if we needed some alkaline for the road. Um no thanks.
