Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm from Columbia South Carolina, and have a group of about 12 people going to Roo this year with me. we have open spaces in cars and are lookin to see if anyone needs a ride or anything. be happy to help!
My girlfriend and I are coming from Sumter, just wondering if the SC Roo'ers are planning on meeting up for a caravan or might want to meet at Roo to say hi?
I might wanna take one of y'all up on that space. We're coming from Columbia with 5 folks pulling a camper and only have room in the towing vehicle for 4 comfortably. At $3.50+ a gallon, it would suck to have to take a second car just for one person.
We'll be parking in the RV section of accessible parking (directly behind The Other Tent), and are allowed one free "companion vehicle", so you could park with us (tents allowed) if you wanted a place guaranteed to be close. It's also a very quiet area. (I understand if y'all are all together you'll want to camp together, but I wanted to make the offer anyway.)

yeah man that sounds good. wether or not we will park with you in companion parking remains to be seen, but if you have one person needing a a ride, f**k taking an extra car, we got space, probably a few spaces actually.
Is that the only RV section of accessible parking? That sounds like where I was last year. Have you read the new Acess Info Guide? All I saw in it was that the Accessible Camping has been reconfigured to bring it all together and in closer to the Pod 4 facilities and to the main entrance to Centeroo, but I did not see anything about RV section. Any thoughts? Are they including tents and RV's or is this just the camping section???

We've been in the accessible RV section since '05 and it was behind The Other Tent all three of those years. In '05 and '06 both sections along the trees were RV access camping, but last year it was only the first one. They made a similar announcement last year, but they only ended up moving the accessible tent camping closer. I don't think there were any RVs north of the main road, but I didn't really pay too close attention.
I hope they don't move us if it's not actually a shorter walk because it's nice and cool by those trees.
what day, and relative time are all of you going to leave for roo? if you want to meet up in columbia, want to exchange phone numbers for meeting up, and/or someone to call during the trip for fun, info, help, and to warn about traffic or cops? I'm a first time roo'er, and I figured getting help from someone with experience or getting lost with some fellow noobs would be fun.
I am from Columbia, as well, and went in a group of 12 last year. I'm sure you'd be able to find someone who needs a ride
how's the drive? I'll be driving from roo to columbia Monday morning and if I recall it is roughly six hours or so...any info or suggestions for stop along the way would be appreciated
This year, we've got 10, maybe 11 going. I'm thinking, we're taking 4 cars or so... and I'm sure we (at least half of the group) would be leaving Columbia/Lexington around 6 PM or so, to get to the Wal Mart meet-up.
The drive there is really simple. I like to go to Atlanta via I-20, then to Chattanooga on I-75, then to Manchester on I-24. Trip is usually 6 and a half hours after a couple of stops on the way. The drive goes by fairly quickly if your riding with friends.
As for places to stop, I'd recommend any of the stops on the outskirts of Atlanta before you enter the city. Then you should be straight until Chattanooga, if anything.
been ages since i looked at this. I think we are leavin sometime wednesday. Gonna try to make it to walmart. Def need to exchange info and need to Organize a SC Roo'ers meeting. Still gotta an extra seat in my caravan haha
less than a week guys... we're almost there. I'm pickin a chick up in greenville and meeting up with the rest of my group at walmart. This week is gonna be great.
We're gonna be leaving around 10-11 Wed. night. We'll be in a red Chevy truck (w/Florida plates) pulling a 27' camper. I'm not sure if we'll be stopping at Wal-Mart this year as we're getting a later start.
I'm gonna try to swing by camp Inforoo... it's looking like our group is going to be MASSIVE... like, I thought the 12-15 person groups of past years was big. This year, we're looking at 15 at least, with a potential 10 more... I think we're gonna have to split up campsites.
What's up everyone. I'll be heading out Wed night or really early Thursday morning (3-4am) from North Augusta. I don't have extra room as of right now unless someone bails on me. I'm down with a SC meet-up for sure though.
Clemson Tiger checkin in. It'll be my first time at Roo, and I'm probably going to leave out of Columbia or Fort Mill. Depending on how many people I go with I might be up for a caravan. I've got friends coming in from KY and CT so we'll see what happens.
