I actually don't live in Nashville. I live in Memphis, 190 miles away. But I'm a big enough of a Titans fan to travel up there regularly to see them play.
I'm the opposite of moderate, immaculately polished With the spirit of a hustler and the swagger of a college kid Allergic to the counterfeit, impartial to the politics Articulate but still would grab a ni**a by the colla quick
Evidently we are staying in a log cabin for the Louisville weekend. Any locals know if the BBC (Bluegrass Brewing Company) that is close to Waterfront is open that day?

I live in Frankfort which is closer to Lexington so when I need something from the city I usually go there. I usually only go to Louisville for shows so I don't know much about it. I do know that if you want to check out a cool part of town you can head to Bardstown road and check out Ear X Tacy (one of the nations greatest record stores), Cafe 360 (a very cool hookah bar), and several headshops.

Do any inforooers have any information on Riverfront Park? We know about the setup, we're just wondering what the security is like, whether they sell beer there, things like that.
The List of No-No's for Waterfront Park: No coolers, cans or bottles No outside alcohol No outside food (Food and Beverage Vendors are available) No pets No beach umbrellas No illegal substances No video cameras or professional cameras (Need pre-approved pass from appropriate parties) No fireworks No weapons of any kind No laser pin or similar focused light devices No unlicensed vending

Well, I know a guy who lives in Nashville, though he's never actually seen a show at Riverfront. He says the stage will be set up with downtown Nashville behind it, on the other side of the river. He also told me that sometimes they set up a floating stage on the water, but I dunno if MMJ will do that.
Then again, none of that is first-hand knowledge.
(Btw, it's Riverfront park in Nashville, and Waterfront Park in Louisville, to avoid confusion.)
And I found this on ticketmaster...
"General Rules: No outside food or beverages allowed inside the Park. Roller Blades, Skates/Skateboards, backpacks or cameras are not allowed."
Riverfront Park. The stage is by the Cumberland River. Downtown Nashville is in the background. They will sell beer, just may not be what you want They don't allow anything in. Security is tight. Check out 2nd ave for some fun first.
a couple more things that are important there is a titans game the same time as the concert and the titans are just across a narrow river from the stage so...we will be looking at the lights of the football stadium as we look upon the stage. i hope this doesnt cause noise issues. its quite close
it WILL CAUSE parking problems. everyone will be downtown for both and some of the parking will be used for both. the titans have their own parking but with it being so close people also park and eat downtown. come early. if you want to eat before you go in come earlier and be prepared with a back up plan. dont assume you will get into your favorite place. be perpared to pay a LOT to park and you will need to walk to the park a ways
on the upside...wtih the game downthere..there will be tons of people
im sure that they search you altough i dont remember this. i dont take anything in so..i dont recall how thorough they are. however there was a lot of recreation things around at all the concerts ive been to there. dont know how they got it in but it was in. i havent seen to many hassles there once the show starts. we will be packed into a tight place - if yu try to get close - so...i think you would be ok if you get in a very tight area
be CAREFUL walking on the front. its a steep hill. once people start walking on it..it gets very very slick there are stairs on the sides but inorder to get into the middle you wilol need to walk n some grassy hill and it can be tricky - especially in the dark. be very careful
also..id say the food and beer inside is pretty high. you may want to eat before or after. there are good drink specials on 2nd ave. piranahs has great food and drinks and there are tons of bars as well.
one more upside...due to the hill...you can see and hear from pretty much the back of the park. worse case ....if you end up at the top of the hill you will likely still be able to see and hear. im short so this is a real bonus..im giong to be downfront so i likely will be screwed down there, however, ill have the option to walk back up the hill if i just have to see whats going on
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...
