im def digging the cloudy aspect of this roo. phew. heat schmeat, just dont let me fry. a day in the sun does a number on me and makes it much much harder to be up for latenight.
and bama, im just bringing crocs if it rains, screw it... rain boots are a PIA.
I'm with you with the clouds, I hate spending half the say putting on sunscreen. If we actually get some showers I'm grabbing the shampoo!
that's what i'm talking about. enough corn will do ya. my dream weather is just overcast all week, with a couple drizzles here and there. i will sacrifice to the roo gods if that happens.

I'll be sporting my crocs sandals also - rain boots would be nice - only because they keep the medd off your feet but - I don't wanna be slogging around in a pair of boots with rain running down into them - doesn't sound like fun to me

Don't forget to put on sunscreen even if it is cloudy all weekend!!! You can still burn a lot even with clouds!

I highly doubt Bonnaroo will receive any measurable amounts of rain... The high pressure system is supposed to stay in control on the east coast including Middle Tennessee into next weekend... Keeping the storms and rain to the great lakes region... Even here in Mississippi which is a good bit West of Manchester we are not looking for any considerable rain chances even when the High Pressure moves off... Our only rain chances will be directly from moisture moving in from the Gulf... Its shaping up to look alot like last year... there were chances of rain last year but it never happened... If we do get a shower it will be so brief it wont make a difference the ground will soak it up like a sponge!

I'd love that!!! For some reason I didn't even notice the "dust bowl" last year except at the White Stripes set.

Just a word from my only expertise. I work for a company that does asphalt sealing. Rain would completely ruin our work for the day and would make our day a total waste (and all of the materials as well). We're very cautious about working when it might rain. However, in Pennsylvania, there's a slight chance of rain at every given moment. We've taken to the 40% chance rule. That is, any percentage under 40% chance of precipitation and we'll still work. I have never had a problem when we've applied that rule... and we always miss the rain. On another note, "Isolated Thunderstorms" is even a bigger way of the forecasters saying, "We actually have no idea if it's going to rain, but we're going to put this just in case to cover our own butts."
Therefore, as of right now, Sunday is the only day where rain looks to be a possibility, and that's only at 60% chance. And anyways, it's predicted for isolated tstorms all weekend... and I'm sure none of use would mind a quick 20 minute burst of drizzle/rain-mist. In fact, if it rains Monday/Tuesday like predicted, that will help pack down the dirt.
High Pressure is basically this big dome of hot air that covers an area... it hinders thunderstorm and rain developement... I big dome of high pressure was over Roo all last year allowing for such dry weather... High pressure system after High pressure system is what caused the terrible drought last year!
Ive been a huge weather buff my whole life... I grew up with the weather channel and local weather... My graduation present was a Tornado chase in Oklahoma and the surrounding states:)
The climate prediction center has so far been off for June on the temperate... The area that says its supposed to be below normal has been above normal every day of June temperature wise...
Not really an obsession im just really bored and reading weather maps and posting what I read as I read it... The other girl is gonna be fine we talked her down on the Sheen and she is learning to love water:)
