i will be there ,I live less than two hours away, and yes it is a great lineup, I went last year, and it was very cozy,in the Ozark national Forest, lots of nice people, lax security, and i walked to the stages with my beer in hand no problem. You will not regret coming, a true grassroots type festival indeed.
I've had my eye on this one for the past couple of years, but I don't think it's in the cards for this year. Everything that you mentioned though, Mike, is what makes it so damned appealing!

I'll be at this festival for sure. I think I'm goin solo cuz my crew bailed on me. I'm assuming it's worth the effort even solo? If any inforoosters want to meet up and try to camp together that would be sick. I've got acoustic guitars, basses, and djembes so we can all jam. PM me if you want.
I'm thinking about only going on Saturday. Umphrey's McGee, The Wailers, and Ben Miller Band are playing on Saturday, so that should be effin' awesome. I don't know. The Avett Brothers are playing Friday and BoomBox is doing an all-nighter thingy that should be interesting. They might be almost too mellow for that time slot. Oh, well. If I decide to come down there on Friday night, I might be crashing with some funkybasslovin. It may be the only time in my life that I exhibit any kind of wookish behavior. lol
Okay, head count. Anyone here besides funkybasslovin going? I've been going over it in my head for the last hour as to whether or not I should go to the whole thing instead of one day. I think it would be more for hanging out with people than the music, but the music is a GREAT bonus. I don't know. Someone talk me into it.
If I can get out of class for Friday I will be heading over on Thursday evening. I can't wait for this one!! Let's all meet up, chat, jam, drink, and get our corn on. I'll be bringing lots of glowsticks, poi, and some other fun night time toys. See you all there.... ;D

We will be there in full force. A bunch of us that do wakarusa are all heading down. On Friday morning there will be "The Chompdown." It is a big group of us that get together and cook a whole bunch of breakfast food (including tons of BACON , and serve it to anybody who happens to come through. This will be the second year for the Chompdown at Mulberry.
This year at Wakarusa was a HUGE success. We served approximately 500-600 people, all while Grazegrove and Dirtfoot provided some unbelieveable tunes (They might just be playing Mulberry Chomp too .
Check out the chompdown on myspace, and if you want to help just add the chompdown as a friend or PM me. Check out the pictures of the Chompdown at Wakarusa 2008, you will be amazed. www.myspace.com/wakarusa_chompdown.

~ BTT Don't miss out on this fest if your in the Midwest. It's a three day festival with some killer acts for under $150 bucks. There is going to be a large gathering for all us Inforoosters on Friday morning with the Waka Crew for a communal breakfast. Come and join us!!!
I'll be there, as long as I win the lottery in time. (According to Mapquest, I'm about 833 miles away.)
Well, I could volunteer picking some people up at the Little Rock Airport on Wednesday of that week if that would help make it cheaper to get here. 1500 miles is a lot of gas money in a car. Little Rock is only a couple hours from where the shows at.
Speaking of which (even though LR is probably cheaper), if anyone reading this IS flying in for Mulberry and they're flying into XNA, I can DEFINITELY pick you up!

^^ Karma! Let's do everything we can to make this festie awesome. I'm less then an hour out of Little Rock so if anyone wants to fly there let me know.
Drowens, we need to plan logistics soon. ;D I'm sooo excited!!!
I just got some new super bright poi, 2 sets of Astrojax Glow(look'em up on youtube), 100 glowsitcks (we need more), lots of prism glasses, some crazy light show/string toy (best $20 I have ever spent at WalMart), and i'm still shopping for MORE!!!
I like costumes...hmm...I might have to include myself in that...
I didn't purchase the campsite upgrade. On their website it said that it was sold out. If you purchased said upgrade I would split whatever extra costs you paid for it so our tents are near each other for all the activities. Running water and electricity sounds very comfy to me... ;D
Access to electricity would turn that campsite into Jam Central Station (power for amps). Plus then we could run strobes, disco lights, and blacklights at our friggen campsite. Say it ain't so?
It ain't so. I, too, was late enough to see them sold out. BUT! We can still camp together, yo! We need to coordinate this. I really don't know where to begin. Obviously, we need a place for us and anyone else to meet up at. Any ideas?
