We'll be stopping off for Phish in Asheville on Tues and hanging out Wed, then back to our usual early morning start on Thur to show up at Roo in the early afternoon... Looking forward to driving thru the mountains again!
It looks like the 85-75-24 route is the way to go. Last year we left from Greenville SC so I have no idea what to expect on the route. Any advice? Good places to stop and stretch, etc?
Leaving Denver (Lake Norman area) as soon as we can Wed. afternoon.... in RV, so stopping about an hour outside of Manchester getting a good night sleep and hope to be at farm by 9am. Safe travels everyone
So does everyone agree that if you are leaving from the Charlotte area, that going through ATlanta is the best way? We are leaving Wednesday afternoon sometime, and planning on camping at the Walmart. This will be the first 'Roo for all of us. Is there only one Walmart in Manchester? Does anyone know the address? Your answers will be greatly appreciated!

murfreesboro is on the wrong side of manchester to stop in from NC...it's 1/2way to nashville!
here's a map of wal-marts in SE tennessee...personally i don't feel like trying to stop at a place crawling with police and 1/2 of the roo attendance, so we'll be stopping before manchester for any last minute supplies.
Could somebody please confirm this for me? Is "the Walmart" that everyone talks about camping at in Mufreesboro? Dang it. Oh well. May have to rethink that plan
hey! im from high point but know greensboro well. what time were you planning on leaving? im leaving this afternoon to meet some people coming from Jersey in TN, but they wont get there til midnight.
actually, i just realized i cant technically carpool b/c i have to have freedom to get home by monday morning for a job, but i could caravan.
Anyone from the Raleigh area going this year? I just recently bought my ticket, but might be in need of a ride.
I've got a group heading out of Fayetteville Wed night/Thurs Morning. People will be meeting there from Raleigh, Greenville and Myrtle Beach to park non essential cars.

I am a first-timer and I'm headed out of Durham early on the 9th (wednesday) stopping briefly in Ashevegas then on to Manchester where I have a hotel room for the eve... thought I'd like to get in one more good shower before heading to the farm lol! I have room for one or two more and I would love the car company! If anyone is interested in joining me or even caravaning shoot me a msg or email!

We're heading from Wilmington on Wednesday, dropping the kids at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Greenville, SC and leaving Thursday morning for the Roo'. Wish it were June already!
Leaving from Gboro sometime wednesday morning. Plan on stopping for lunch in Asheville at 12 Bones, and then heading on from there. To a hotel in Decherd, 30 miles from Manchester to spend the night and then heading in early Thursday morning.
Does anyone know what the deal is with 40 being blocked in Western NC? Still blocked? I'm worried the detour would add hours to the trip.
