Just moved to Charlotte...meeting my NY friends outside the farm so heading over solo. Planning on leaving Charlotte at midnight Wednesday... Anyone going with the same time frame from the Queen City?
I suggest to all the cool North Carolina people that if possible we try to identify the Carolinians and make friendlies and try to get into the venue together and have a Mini-North Carolina setup in TN...
so something identifying your vehicle as from NC would be ideal and just wave the good 'roo going person down and chat it up as ur driving down the road... or rest area/walmart wat not...

Something identifying, like say, a license plate???
but to make it more visible from more than 10 feet away... something on the window w/that window paint thing... saying something like "im from NC and im here to party" type deal...
thats wat im doing... just an idea... lets see how we roll w/it...
Okay, so some last minute things are comin' up and I'm turnin' to inforoo fer help. My crew has at the last minute grown to four (two from Raleigh, NC; and two drivin' down from Washington, DC [one of these bein' the really late addition]). Originally it was gonna be three in my buddy's care from DC, now we might not have the space fer all of our gear plus the four peeps. Anyone around Raleigh, NC wanna carpool, possibly help us with the campin' equipment we'll be bringin'? We can probably fit everyone in my buddies car, it's just the gear and we'd love to have some cool neighbors! The cars in Raleigh are not in great shape and we really don't wanna risk breakin' down on the way to or from 'Roo! Our current leave time is (cross my fingers that more shit doesn't go wrong) between 8-10am on Wednesday, possibly later. Not sure when the DC guys will arrive. I'll post more after I talk to the DC crew tomorrow evenin'.

this is a message to all those roo goers who will be driving from the festival back to asheville. my name is christian, my self and two others will be attending bonnaroo. we are from greensboro, and my friend tim, the guy who is driving, has orientation at unc asheville on monday morning. his parents are making him leave bonnaroo on sunday, early enough to get to asheville at 12AM monday morning. unless my friend logan and i can get a ride to asheville to meet up with tim, grab his car and get back to grensboro, we will miss rise against, and the number one reason for me going to roo,dave matthews. please help me out, itd be real awesome.- christian

MOUNT PISGAH, N.C. -- A three-mile stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina is closed for a couple of days while debris is removed from ice storms earlier this year.
The Asheville Citizen-Times reported the road was closed between miles 405 and 408 west of Asheville on Monday and Tuesday. Workers are trimming trees and removing debris from winter storms.
The road is closed long-term between miles 399 and 405 because of rock slide repairs.

Leaving from Charlotte in a few hours and staying overnight in Atlanta this year. Have a safe and fun drive! I've made the trip solo a few times myself.
