-brought lots of heady corn. made up for the other drugs i got that sucked. didn't bring enough corn last year and it took 2 days to find some. shared with several people this year who were having similar problems.
-got a hotel the night before. this was more for phish in knoxville, but a good night's sleep between (most of) the 18+hour drive and roo was clutch.
-got there much later this year. 1pm vs 4am. sweet spot in zoolander rather than holly goodhead in bfe
-brought less stuff
-spf 50
-sanuks-1000x better than flip flops i wore last year.

-Body glide (this stuff is the shiz) -Camping at Rock Island Wed. night (beautiful beautiful place, I highly recommend it) -dry ice (how did I ever do roo without fizzy fruit?) -airbed under shade canopy in addition to one in the tent (extra sleep made me good to go for late nights)
-tequila sunrise -did lots of research before roo and saw some acts i would have missed otherwise -more late night exploring -camped in tent-only -made an honest effort to blow less money in the brooer's tent -saved enough energy to go apenuts for Dillinger -skipped on the arepas. not worth the hype or 5 bucks -said no to more corn than last year -said yes to 2 dollar PBRs on shakedown -saw WAY more music than last year -remembered why I wake up the rest of the year... only 357 more days...

- Bringing the things I thought I would need without being ridiculous. - Bringing excess money. - Bringing back-ups of some things. My Camelbak leaked, but I had my trusty Sigg bottle in reserve. - Most importantly, I let myself go with the flow and enjoy myself even when things went wrong.
Skipped 3 days of my first week of my last 12 hours (4 classes) worth of college and going to Bonnaroo!! I may not graduate on time now cause it put me so far behind but it was damn well worth it!
10' x 10' canopy for real shade. Hung 8' x 10' tarps from two ropes wrapped around the four corner legs of the canopy. The ropes can slide up and down the legs to vary the openings above and below the tarps. Heat exits out through the upper openings. There is a delicious breeze through the enclosure anytime there's the slightest wind. We even stayed dry during the rains Thursday night, while many of our neighbors complained vehemently their tents had leaked. Loose corners of the tarp are secured with bungees, so they don't flap in the wind, they just kind of breath back and forth. And, of course we slept on an airbed. And, brought 13 gallons of mountain spring water. Filled the water containers from a roadside spring as we were leaving home for Roo.

The first thing I did right this year was going to Roo for the first time! Finally! The EZ Up was a necessity for sure Having a good REI tent was nice, never worried about the inside getting wet and I didn't even seal the seams or anything. The Sanuks were a good idea, wore them the whole time.

Padlock for my tent.
Spare bag for wet clothes.
METALLIC Sharpie so artists could sign on the back of my backpack (Thank you Chuck D., Flavor Flav, Arj Barker, Ben Soliee, and Zee Avi for doing so).
Brought an umbrella and GOT it in Centeroo.
Brought an awesome PVC Raincoat/poncho that did not wilt under massive rain.
Had two battery-powered fans (one ran on 8 d batteries the other 2 d batteries) and I literally never got hot ANY morning in my tent by aligning them to allow constant breeze in my tent.
Brought Pop-Tarts and pb &cheese crackers . My campmates brought a stove that they never used and had to throw their food out.

this year i brought an ez-up specifically for my tent, and hung a heavy duty tarp(the silver ones) around the east side to avoid the morning sun. i also had a 10 inch battery-powered fan hanging above me. i slept as late as i wanted to every morning...it was heavenly!
We drove from New Jersey to Chattanooga on Wednesday. During that drive we made more stops then normal since we didn't have a clock to look at. We stayed in the camper at a Cracker barrel and slept fine until they got their 5 AM delivery So on Thursday we went to breakfast and then a stop at wal-mart to top off the ice in our coolers before we went to the VIP check-in.
Thursday night, took full advantage of the VIP party. In years past we were doing other things and missed out.
On Friday we took a three mile walk through the general admission campsites. So we could really appreciate the short walk to centerroo from VIP area.
Also on Friday night left Phish in time to go see the Art of Such n Such. It's a nice show that they put on over there in the corner of the festival.
Went back to the camper and took a nap at the tail end of Bruce so we could stay up for late night.
Didn't bring as much food and ate at the food vendors. Average price of a meal (without drink) was $7 per person. I thought it was reasonably priced.
Stopped at all the information booths in Centerroo and listened on what they had to offer.
Ferris wheel, Thursday before the long lines.
Rain gear, boots..all good stuff.
And....only drank half of the beer and wine we brought down with us. With the heat and staying up late we didn't want to feel like crap.
Camped with the VIP Inforoo crowd, although I kept to myself too much (me = grumpy ass in the mornings and when I'm hot).
Let my GA bff borrow my VIP bracelet once to skip the huge line at the porto before Beastie Boys. I know that's a big no-no, but what can I say? It apparently changed her life, and she's now convinced she can only go VIP next year. This is good for me, as she makes me less grumpy when I'm sleepy or hot. ;D
Didn't put up my huge 14' x 14' tent just for myself.

Spent only $35 the whole weekend.
Why eactly is VIP so nice?
It's very close to Centeroo. There's a med station close by, and that isn't always the case in GA (I'm diabetic, etc.). You can take all the showers you like. There are air-conditioned lounges at the campgrounds, as well as a new one in Centeroo. The biggest thing for me, though, is the availability of air-conditioned trailers with flushing toilets. I have a pretty severe "thing" about porto-potties, beyond me just being prissy.
The main thing I did right this year was spend time reading inforoo. This was my first year and the lessons I learned here before we went were invaluable, from what to bring to what to expect. Thanks inforoo!
I am getting pretty good at this I did about everything right this year.
We waited less than hour from getting in line to having camp set up, and our spot was about a 10 minute walk from centeroo.
We had 2 12x12 ez ups so that we had plenty of shelter from rain and sun.
We brought just slightly too much beer, and not quite enough food, so we could share beer, and then got to try some bonnasnacks.
I camped next to an inforooster with three posts going solo to his first 'roo and taught him some of the tricks of the trade.
While I got tired I made the brunch, and pretty much every show I want to see
Also I met lots of great inforoosters outside of the brunch and raged with them here is a partial list of the folks I met
Terrapin, He was stalking me from Asheville on
Jhointn, Raging at Byrne
Lordrockinhood, Zac Brown, and Tobacco
SouthGaSpundaySensei Part of Tobacco
Spacedoutokie He was my neighbor, and we hit up a lot of shows together
The Druid, I taught her how to rage Phish properly with glowies and Blinkies
Sassbox, I only saw you for a minute and gave bad directions, but I was there
Strum and Alyroo, I found them at Byrne because Sammy o gave us both directions to meet him, he was at the Beasties however
Generalstore, I raged Buffett with him and his dad
Roofanintn, Chris I couldn't have done it without you thanks for everything
Sammy, and HooDoo We only met for a second, but I am glad we all got to finally meet
Chefchick, well we didn't get to rage 'roo much this year but we tore Asheville up for sure
Finally Teine, I am glad you could make raging Snoop with you was just about perfect. Thanks for the equipment loans I will try to get it back to you before I take off for Deer Creek.
I am sure I have forgotten some but this list is a good start.
I was informed that I forgot about areyoukind and his little brother before Mule ;d
