I regulated my diet so that I would have to use the port-o every morning just as the sun was rising. This way I got to do my business in a clean port-o before the sun made it too hot, and then I'd go back to bed.

The smartest thing I did last year was buying a HUGE tarp for a ground cloth. It covered my whole campsite and kept the bugs and grass underneath us. And with the forecast saying rain, it would do good to keep puddles from forming and mud being everywhere.
If you have the room bring a tool bucket - if you have one. You know the kind that has the insert with all the pockets and stuff?
My husband through a bunch of tools and all kinds of things he thought might be useful and I can't tell you how handy it was for us and all the people around us. He was like the camp handyman in our whole area.
I know he brought the standard tools like a hammer, mallet, screw drivers, pliers and then plenty of bungi cords, zip ties, duck tape, scissors, rope, string, box cutter and other things I can't remember.

We'll definitely be bringing it again.
One of the most useful things you can bring is shit that attaches shit to other shit. Rope, zip ties, bungees, tape, etc.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

Camp Inforoo (did not mingle much but was there) Good wagon Skipped Headliner I did not care about to get good spot for Alice Cooper Slept from midnight till 2am so I could have fun at UM till sunrise Went to shows alone so I could get prime spot without concern with keeping up with a group. (Made friends with people I was standing beside) Watched full sets as much as possible
Smartest thing was buying a toddler toilet trining potty seat. It fit right over the port o seat and I could sit and relax while taking care of business. Plus it had this arm in hammer deoderizing disc so it was quite pleasant. Best 9$ I ever spent.
We stopped at Publix about 20miles outside of Manchester and got Publix Subs. They got a little soggy after the second day but PUBLIX SUBS are THE BEST SUBS in THE WORLD!!! Then we took SR-41 down and beat the interstate traffic. We got a couple on the way back home too. Best idea we had all weekend!

I went solo this year so I packed light and I tried to pack smart, also camped in Tent Only and arrived on Wed.
As far as luggage: Back Pack (the kind you'd wear to school). A carry on sized suitcase.
The suit case had 3 pairs of shorts, 1 pair of pants, 8 pairs of under-ware (the only garment I absolutely needed to have clean everyday and some spares just in case). 5 T-shirts. 2 pairs of socks. 1 pair of shoes (I wore sandals and shorts the whole time except for the first day there).
The back pack had extra tent stakes, a hammer, a sharp pocket knife, a fold up camp stove (that thing was awesome! Folds into a 7"x7" +\- square about 1 inch thick), a couple of fuel cans, a tin cup, some rope, a toiletry bag (toothbrush, deodorant, etc), cheap plastic rain poncho, sun screen/wall for the EZup.
Camp Gear: 10x10 EZup 2 person tent Medium/smallish cooler (filled the cooler with water, gatorade and beer, about 6 a piece, 1 monster energy drink and ice a couple exits before Bonnaroo)
Grocery List: Case of Beer (30 beers) 3 liter box of white wine 24 Pack of bottled water (froze 8 the night before) 4 pack of Monster Energy drinks 12 Pack of Gatorade 16 Cups of Ramen soup (of which I ate exactly none) 2 lbs +\- Beef Jerky (of which I ate exactly all)
I used my car like a locker and periodically ventured back to it to resupply rather than drag EVERYTHING to tent only (came out to $15 in Festicab fare, totally worth it).
The first night I only took the EZup, tent, backpack and suitcase. The next morning I walked to my car and got the cooler, some extra provisions, and took a festicab back to TO. I snacked on the jerky all weekend and wound up buying food from the vendors in and outside of centeroo. Mostly Pizza. I'd have saved a few bucks if I'd brought canned food and prepared it on the little stove, or actually ate the ramen, but I found the food was reasonably priced (for festival food).
I did make one regrettable decision. On a resupply mission while waiting for a taxi back to TO a lady working one of the stands in POD 1 asked me if I'd trade her a gatorade for a plate of those curly fried potato things. I ate most of it on the way back to camp, a pretty long ride because the driver was dropping another person off in POD 11 before heading back to the arch. One hour later it was like a race with the devil to get to a porta potty, followed by one of Hercules tasks to clean off the seat. I've never clinched my butt cheeks and prayed so hard in my life.

I've gone to Roo for several years and have learned alot about to bring from my experience. I've camped RV and Tent, but things I found to be oh so useful are: Battery operated fans with extra batteries. I have the kind that can hang from a hook or they are magnetic, so we brought 3 of them and during the day we would attach them on the posts of the EZ up and position them at angles so cool wind was constantly flowing in a circle around us. Worked great! Dry ice in the coolers underneath frozen water bottles. Bought minimal ice (for mixed drinks) and still had dry ice in the bottom of the cooler when we got back to Texas. Air mattress and light sheets with an extra blanket that stayed in the car but was there if we got cold. Plenty of cash for whatever we wanted to buy or partake in Rested alot during the day to enjoy shows at night, mostly just sat under the EZ up and people watched and made new friends. Brought minimal food that had to be cooked and lots of good snacks. Beef jerky was a life saver. Made sure I had a good spot for my favorite bands and hung back on the rest. Stayed for the entire show for must see bands and left early to check out other bands that I wasn't super in to. Met tons of cool people! I walked up and down the line to get into Centeroo and interviewed people while recording it on my phone. Definitely met some interesting people and got some really funny answers to some of my questions. Brought extra sheets to use as curtains zip ties, duct tape, scissors, and a tarp made friends with our neighbors and partied with them the whole week brought paper and sharpies to post signs on our ez up wishing everyone a Happy Bonnaroo. Several cool people stopped by every day just to say "happy bonnaroo to you too!" and then they would come back by and party with us.
-Drove into Tennessee the day before Roo and had a hotel. Not having to make the 10 hour drive and then wait who knows how long to get in was great. I had so much more energy for the weekend. It was a struggle last year being up at 5am for work then making the drive after.
- Purchased a Colman tent, stayed dry all weekend. This wouldn't have been the case if I had my $20 Walmart tent like last year.
- Camped with Inforoo & made some great new friends.

I think I was over prepared this year. We went home with a lot of our food (cutting back next year or going to hook up with our friends and shop together before entering). Oh, smaller cooler next year for sure. We had a giant and it was hard to get into my backseat.
But THANK GOD I packed a bunch of old towels for rags! I didn't mind throwing them out when we had to wipe up the floor of the tent.
The best thing I did this year to make everything awesome was buy Miller Lite badges. They cost me 50 each and included beer, food, clean air conditioned bathrooms, an air conditioned lounge area, and a play area with cornhole and other cool stuff.
The other things I did well were making a bunch of tapestries for tons of shade and packing the backpacks very well so I didn't have to go back to camp for anything all day.

Every day you went there they gave you a new wristband with 4 tabs on it for beers and new goodies, and punched a hole in the badge. There were like 5 "hosts" pretty much there to show you a good time. I will neither confirm nor deny that I asked for corn and was provided with the person I needed to talk to.
No way I don't try to land these badges every year I go. Definitely well worth it.

Outdoor rug might work good. I've used an old piece of shag carpeting that was in my camping gear for God knows why, but it actually worked really well.
Can people recommend something to put on the ground at camp besides a tarp? I feel like the tarp always gets icky by day 2-3. I'm thinking maybe an outdoor rug...they are on sale for as low as $20-25. But maybe there is something even better that I'm not thinking of...
I bring a spare tarp for lending/aux shade/etc. and just rotate them if the ground-tarp gets gungy.
