I ducked outside to smoke, and saw that people were trying to sneak in. A few peeps managed to pay the door man money to let them in.
That was actually me... Spot on with your review of the Brooklyn show... I was thoroughly impressed with the new songs in the second set, especially Spin... I thought First Tube was a little bit above-average, though, maybe because Trey's playing was so crisp
ahh, ur lucky man, I tried to pay the bouncer to let me in but he denied me, it worked out tho cause I just got a balloon and walked around the corner to the free bloc party show. still wish I got into trey tho
So, yesterday, I bought into Bonnaroo for $1500. Crazy, I know, but I have become attached to the festival in a way that makes me think I shouldn't miss its experience for 1 year. So I haven't. That being said, in 2002, some almost 7 years ago now, I bought into Bonnaroo for $125. Trey Anastasio not only headlined but closed the festival that year.
I say to you Superfly, AC, and those in charge of Bonnaroo, I will continue to support this festival as it is in my state and as I have drawn a deep-seeded connection to it, but please bring back Trey Anastasio in some capacity. He hasn't played your festival in 3 years, after playing 4 of the first 5. I don't care if it is Phish, Oysterhead, Orchestra Nashville, TAB, GRAB, whatever. Just get him back there.
