My roommate cracked up at the happy dance I did when I read it was official, I think I will wait for the tour announcement, I would rather catch a few cities than deal with going all the way across the country for a 3 day run. Is there a month in Vermont that has less rain than August, and is still reasonably warm, I would travel for a fest.

Most likely they'll have the fest back in Maine rather than bring back the nasty memories of Coventry and have it in VT.
I don't remember it ever raining in Limestone. . . I could be wrong. Even if it did, it clearly never got as bad as Coventry.

it rained a little bit during it but nothing like what we experienced at coventry. that was in its own league and i can't see them ever going back there now. its a shame too cause it was a beautiful site if the weather had held up.
Not gonna try for Hampton. I'll wait and see how they are playing before I attempt to get my hands on tickets. If they are playing well and come relatively close to me then I'll hit up a show or two. Exciting news though.
Just put in my request. March 6th is my birthday, shouldn't I get some extra luck for that? It would totally make my year to get to see Phish for my birthday
Also curious, I put in a request for 2 tickets all three day, but was wondering if they do the lottery for each of the three days separately or if they do them for the whole order at once. Does that make sense. I was just wondering if it was possible I'd get tickets for like that Friday and Sunday, but not Saturday, or something.
Also wondering if since they are gonna sell out, would they give priority to peeps that only requested one day, as opposed to the whole three days.

my understanding is that they do the requests for each show individually so it is possible that you might only get one show out of the three. also priority is the same for everyone regardless of how many shows you've requested or when you get your request in. lets all hope for the best.

I requested two tickets for all three nights. I was really excited when I first saw this, but now the reality that I probably won't be able to go to all three shows is starting to sink in. It is going to be the beginning of my spring break, so it seems like the perfect choice for my break (especially with Hampton only being three hours from HSC and I have friends in the area I can stay with). I'm starting to think that I'll be lucky to get tickets at all.
I guess I haven't really figured out how hard it's going to be to get tickets through the lottery or how hard its going to be to get tickets on Oct. 18. I mean, if I try to buy tickets right when they go on sale, will it be hard to get them. The only show that I've been to that sold out fast was Eric Clapton at JPJ, and I think even that took a few days. But I can see all three shows easily selling out within 15 minutes.
^^I'm guessing it'll sell out within minutes all three nights.
And I was at that Clapton show. Amazing night of music!
I know, Derek Trucks was so good that night. I thought it was probably the best musicianship I've ever seen live. But one of my friends who I met much later tried to tell me that he thought it was a bad concert.

I heard somewhere that every hotel in Hampton is sold out for those dates already. I have no idea where I heard that though. Could have been hear. Could have been in my mind

I heard the same. My buddy and I made reservations 30 min away, that hotel stated there is some cheerleader convention on the same weekend…Second had from the person booking the room.

it says we will find out "before the public sale"..but you would think they would just do the lottery right at noon, right?

edit: nevermind..i just read this in the email..dammit! The ticket request period ends Wednesday, October 8th at 11:59 AM EST, and you will be notified of your order status by 11:59 PM on October 17th. This way, you will find out whether or not you were successful before the general public on-sale date. The first on-sale date is October 18th.
