There are pretty much one song per artist, and only like 15 of the artists. There is some in between talk, usually hyping up whatever artist they are about to show. Made me disappointed that I missed sharon dap, she gave me chills.
I caught a grainy glimpse of myself bobbing along in the crowd during Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. I may have also seen myself during Mastodon, but I'm not sure.
I got mine Saturday! About time. I plan to watch it soon with my brother who didn't go last year, but had to watch it in the meantime. It was good. Saw some stuff I missed out on and re-lived some stuff I saw. Wish they had a few more vids though with like Ghostland, Ladytron, Willie Nelson, !!!, MGMT, and more! Should have made it like the 2004 one I would like to see the '04 one someday. 2007 was my first though. I did not see myself in any footage.
im pretty happy with the dvd.. I lost my DVD remote so I have to watch it from start to finish anytime i wanna watch it i think i seen the beginning of this dvd about 3 times and the end about 0...

i see myself at Claypool! :-) weeeeeeeee
the dvd was overall pretty good, but nothing compared to the other dvd's that they have put out in the past.
probably my favorite clips had to be Gogol's lead singer explaining why he loves the crowd...

About 45 minutes ago, while watching the mailbox intently, the mail lady delivered my copy of the DVD... Now I have to wait for my husband to get home to have a viewing!

It irritates me that I ordered my dvd the day tickets went on sale last year and still havent gotten a dvd. This was probably the worst way to do this.

They really have fucked up this whole process. I'm used to packages taking a while to get here, due to that border thing, but that's not even the problem in this case! I never expected that I would see the '09 lineup before the '08 DVD.
But then again, me not getting a DVD when I expected to is very minor issue in the grand scheme of things. I'll just sit here and remember that I actually had to opportunity to be at the festival, unlike most people.
My buddy spotted me in a crowd shot just before Gogol Bordello. Thing is, I never went over that way, so I think it was a crowd shot during Against me! That was the only time I was by myself and in the back of a crowd the entire weekend.

Raconteurs was a good set eh hippy^^^ ? Had a great time at roo this year with arlene . We were watching the video and I watched her come alive all over again . Every day the discussion turns to roo ,and how we are going to do it this year with her eldest daughter has her seinor dedication Monday am and we are 18 hours away from roo (fly blck bird fly)
Good shot of me and my brother at the Raconteurs. It shows us jammin' for about 3 seconds. Then, I caught the back of my head at Gogol Bordello. Good dvd bye and bye.
anyone care to write up a post about the quality of the dvd? is it strictly just one performance per artist and nothing else? is there footage inbetween, any interviews? How's the dvd? I didn't get mine yet
Me and my roomate watched it last night. It's mostly just the songs by the artist, but there are brief 1-3min spots between the songs where they talk to some 'Rooers and talk to some of the artists there. Honestly I'm pretty disappointed in it, but I got to see some great performances that I had missed (such as The Lee Boys, who I'm gonna put on the must see list for '09).
