After having time to think about it, I really think it's just going to be a packaged compilation of Fuse' coverage... unless there was any initial information given, like DVD company, length, number of copies to be put into print, etc.
I sure hope it's something different than the Fuse coverage, but I really doubt it'll be comparable to the prior 2002, 03, and 04 DVDs;
All were double disc sets, 2002's were both filled with concert footage and about 3 hours in length, 2003's first disc was documentary/concert footage (about 2 hours long) and the second disc was bonus interviews and such, and 2004's DVDs were both filled with concert footage, split into 4 segments and about 4 hours in total.
I'd imagine the new one to be under 2 hours, maybe even an hour long. I hope I'm wrong, but either way, I'm gonna love watching this thing!!!
If it is comprised mostly of just the Fuse coverage, I'm going to be hella pissed.
However, I don't think it will be. If that were the case, we would not have had to wait until December to get our DVDs.
I dont know about that, I feel like they take forever to get things out. I mean I remember the sbds they sold always taking like 3/4 of the year to come out.
It would be a dirty trick to sell something for $10 at the beginning of the year that was later broadcast to the masses for free. Surely this dvd will be different from the Fuse coverage. I would imagine there could possibly be a couple of overlapping shows, but I highly doubt they would stoop that low to just re-generate the same broadcast. I could easily be wrong, but let's hope I'm not

see but in their eyes its just you paying that 10 dollars for the dvd itself and case not the content.
"These DVDS will feature exclusive performances and backstage footage from the 2008 festival, allowing you to relive your Bonnaroo experience. The featured video will be handpicked to showcase this year's performance highlights as filmed by Bonnaroo's team of directors. The DVD will include full-color packaging and artwork and a 5.1 audio mix created from Bonnaroo's pristine soundboard recordings."
Actually, it sounds like it may be some original stuff... I sure hope so. This is the old info, given when tickets went on sale. Also, it's said to be released in December.
man I hope its not just the fuse coverage, its looked like crap, they cut the Sooner or Later interpolation out of Better Man and the host, aside from being a complete Douchy McDoucherson, seemed like he had no idea what Bonnaroo was about.

thats pretty sweet, I hope the have some bisco and mstrkrft footage, I would love to see that.
Based on the previous DVDS (from 2002, 2003 and 2004 all of which I have), the quality will be good, there will be plenty of backstage footage, plenty of "crowd festie" interspersing footage and one song per act that they decide to include. The quality got better as the years went on. the 2004 DVD was the best AND had the most footage/acts included so that's hopeful!
Awww...that's awfully sweet of you!! I can only hope my ex does the same as he is the one that ordered the tix AND the DVD....but based on what has gone on since....I somehow don't see that happening So I suppose I will have to rely on the kindness of one of my other InfoFriends to help me out ;D Which I have TOTAL faith will happen!
