Yea I saw that. I was kinda bummed about that, but I totally think having Neil Young there would kinda make up for it. At least in my eyes, never having seen him before. IDK, maybe it's just me haha.
No, it's not just you. I've seen him a couple of times, most recently a few weeks ago with Everest and Wilco as openers. It was a fantastic show and seeing him on the JazzFest lineup would send me over the edge...where I lurk precariously every day... .

For those of you still on the fence they still have "weekend packages" available for both weekends at cheep prices...I got my first weekend package for $105...that's a paltry $35 a day! Second weekend packages which include Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun are $140. Pre-purchase daily tix are $40 a day...at the gate they will be $50 a day.....still one of the best festie deals around!

I'm sure more will be posted as we get closer....I got a GREAT mag at Hard Rock last year the weekend of...that had shows for the whole month at EVERY club in NOLA...if nothing else we can grab one of those when we get down there!
They're still negotiating with Aretha...there's some concern about her ability to make it there? She's not out yet, though. I'm kinda iffy on second weekend now, too, but not because of Bon Jovi. I kind of think that'd be a fun set, but I'm not a big fan ('though I will cop to singing Living on a Prayer when alone in my car).
Aretha has been replaced by Neil Young, no joke. I am so freakin excited, I'm jumping up and down. This makes Bon Jovi totally worth it, cause after that I was about to give up on Jazz Fest man!
