^^^ Flying into Ft Lauderdale instead of Miami is usually A LOT cheaper as well. Anybody looking for flights to Ultra should check Ft Lauderdale.
Yeah, last year we flew into Ft Lauderdale, there were like 8 of us and getting a taxi into Miami was like, $8 a person. I don't think we're going to do that this year though because it's just me and my boyfriend.
I'm already watching plane tickets on farecast.com...once I get my tax return, I'm buying!
I'm so ready..I've been listening to Prodigy for like 3 days straight now ;D ;D ;D

Made my reservation last night. I'll be staying at a Hostel in South Beach. Since I'm going solo, there was no way I could afford a hotel room anywhere close to the city, so this was my best option. I stayed at a hostel for Lolla and it worked out great, and from looking at pictures and such the place seems very nice/legit. Hopefully it will work out well.
Does anyone know what the best way for me to get from south beach to festival would be? I'd really rather not drive and deal with trying to park.
Don't drive. There's NOWHERE to park around the park. I would honestly go with taking a taxi. We stayed in a hotel downtown (like 5 blocks form the park) last year, and decided to go down to South Beach in the morning before the festival. We rode a bus there and got hopelessly lost and it took an hour. The taxis are $10 a ride basically and are fairly quick.
The bus is a good route if you know where you're going and are trying to save money. We may have to do that this year anyway; the boyfriend and I are staying with one of his fraternity chapters at either FIU or Barry university.

well my hostel is literally right across the water from the park. The bridge that runs beside the park seems to connect with south beach right around the area that my hostel is in. So taking the bus should be pretty simple... hopefully. Thanks
I'm trying to keep this thread going...I mean, you guys are as EXCITED as I am right?
Right? Or am I just a nerd? ;D
Hell Yes I'm excited!
My God I can't wait for this!
BTW bamadancer, do you remember what time Moby played last time? I'm starting to realize that Moby vs. Prodigy is a possibility... and that scares me. A lot.

I highly doubt Moby and Prodigy will be at the same time considering they're both pretty big performances. Almost nobody plays at the same time as the headliners (remind me tonight and I'll go home and look at my schedule)...there are smaller acts, but I think last year the biggest names that played during the headliners were Planet of the Drums and Carl Cox.
Last year Moby played on Saturday around 5ish...I remember it was kind of getting dark. However I missed Moby's performance because of my fiasco with my thumb and the porto door. DON'T GET HURT/INJURED at Ultra...they can't help you...they'll just take you to the hospital! That's one of my big complaints...when I shut my finger in the door the paramedics didn't even bother to help me with anything. They just said, "All we can do is take you to the hospital," which, fuck that, I didn't spend $500 to go to Miami just to go to the hospital. Then I asked him to get me ice, and he acted like it was a huge pain to go get me some!

Damn hotels are expensive in Miami. I never been and would love to attend this year, but I'm not sure I can afford the price of a room. Any camp sites or other cheap alternitives to staying in Miami?

Ah! 10 days!
I'd be up for a meetup, eventhough I'm quite the noob in these parts. The only problem I see is how can we plan a meetup when we don't even have the schedule. And with this insane lineup, I feel like there will be something worth seeing at every moment of the fest.
