Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Pack as much of your stuff as possible in Rubbermaid bins...this saved us a major headache with the downpour this year!
And I keep my Roo gear in these tubs year round. Stackable for storage and also anytime I go camping or to Roo I just toss the tubs in the truck and I'm 95% packed.
^Yup...I have a Bonnaroo storage area with those bins stacked in my basement. I'll only need to remove unnecessary items, replenish batteries and sew weights to the bottom of our flag for 2009!
A First Aid Kit - even a little one. Festivals can be hazardous. I've helped out a several of my fellow festie goers. I never go to a festie without one.
we took a grill last year and lots of meat and veggies to cook. the only thing i wish i had taken with me also was some dry ice. next year i will. it lasts longer! and we ran out of beer! more beer!
Glow sticks! Not only are they fun, but they also light dark port-o-potties. You can weigh the pros and cons of being able to see though.
On Saturday night, some guy right by us in the What Stage area had a glow stick on a stick that we were able to use to find our way back. Unfortunately the line for the bathrooms during Pearl Jame was like an hour long and when I came out I couldn't find my friends...I just wandered around asking everyone if they'd seen a glow stick on a stick and they obviously thought there was something wrong with me =)
I think I'd like to do something like that next year. It made my life so much easier - until it died and/or the guy disappeared! Then I was lost as hell.

Money. Most useful item I brought this year. Cools flashy toys. When I was in walmart I found some cool flashing LEDs that I could wrap on my fingers, they were the bomb.
Condoms, whether you're a male or female. I've had sticky situations where a guy and I were about to get to it and he didn't have protection! Its my typical means of birth control. Luckily at Roo, they give out condoms at volunteer info stations.
A lighter too. If you don't have scissors, it can act as a replacement in some cases.

I'm going to take some more time out to stress the importance of baby wipes.
I had a dream (nay! nightmare!) last night that I was at Roo. Everything was going great. I seemed to have an unlimited amount of Guinness. I would yell "Bonnarooooo!" and hear it echoed back at me from a million different directions. I had a 30x30 camping space, but no tent which was okay because for some reason I was driving a truck and had a pillow and a blanket. It was even 70 degrees with a light drizzle! But I forgot baby wipes. It was awful.
It was the strangest dream ever. But really, peeps. Take baby wipes. All the Guinness in the world won't make you happy without them.
Deoderant is a very useful item that some people seem to forget. Also, it you are setting up a tarp and/or shade tent with sides, it's smart to buy some extra tent pegs to keep everything secure. In 2007, I say a really nice tent go airborn in a fluke wind - it was kinda fun to watch, but I bet the people who expected to sleep in it were surprised when they got back to camp....
Gatorade powder. I mix Gatorade powder with the local water in my camelbak and it removes the odd taste while also providing extra electrolytes needed for a long hot day out in the sun.
Hahaha I caught you on the board!! Oh yeah, this was a useful item for me too when you shared with me after I was dehydrated!

Rolling papers. If you prefer to roll your own, don't forget these. You may think with all those vendors selling smoking accessories that they'd be easy to find - not so. Took us about 45 minutes wandering around and asking people to finally find someone who had them for sale... for $4.00 a pack.

^^^Last year I went to two different hardware shops trying to find those clips and NO ONE knew what I was talking about!!!! I even went down every single aisle myself and did not find them, and we most certainly ended up needing them. I am determined to find them this year, who knew the search for simple common clips would turn into and epic quest.
oh and this isn't really suprising...or terribly useful but if you are the type that does a lot of cooking at roo and always bring condiments it's really convenient to just gradually collect spare ketchup/mustard/mayonnaise from fast food places. I'm not saying go in and raid the restaurants, but you know how they always give you too much, just save them.

Spring Clamps - Lowes and Home Depot have them in the hand tool section along with pipe clamps, bar clamps, C-clamps, woodworkers clamps.
Some smaller hardware stores might only have a couple in stock. Farm and ranch supply places also are a source.
Runner's glide! Anywhere you may chaffe (sp?) put a little there and you'll be good to go all weekend! Really helpful under sandal straps and shoulder bag straps!
