got a coffee q?. im gonna assume a coffee "pot" falls under the glass rule. i was just gonna bring a coffee maker and plug it into an inverter, but without the pot its self, what could i do?other then a perk, which i will do if needed. but was just looking for an easier, less grindier way.

This was a huge concern of mine, too. I'd be willing to sacrifice a shower or two if I could use baby wipes and buy coffee instead...that addicted. I might bring some 5 hour energy or just buy it there.
It's empty in the valley of your heart, the sun it rises slowly as you walk away from all the fears and faults you've left behind.
I need freedom now, and I need to know how to live my life as it's meant to be. I will hold on hope, and I won't let you choke on the noose around your neck. I'll find strength in pain and I will change my ways - I'll know my name as it's called again.

it's not IDEAL, but you could always buy the "instant" coffee packages. then all you'd need is hot water.

We use a perk.. you can buy filters for it at your local walmart or large chain grocery store.. ( little flat circular filters) .. this keeps the grinds out and help make a better pot of coffee....
also bring spare mugs/ disposable cups for neighbors who will come to you with a sawed off beer can begging for coffee!!!

I hate instant coffee, but that is what I do for roo. It's just so much easier.
I have a single burner propane and brew coffee every morning in an old metal percolator. I have one of those pump thermos things like at Starbucks so I fill it and have hot coffee all day long.
Usually don't drink much in the heat but have a few cups in the AM and then a cup or two before late night.

same. i was thinking also of maybe making arabic/bosnian/turkish coffee since you can just boil that as well. also a lot stronger/better tasting than instant.
We have a stainless French press we got on Amazon after having too many Bodum ones break. It's awesome, gets great reviews, and is great for travel. We have had for a couple years and use it daily.
I can't find my specific one on Amazon, but if you search "Stainless French Press" you will see tons of options, some are single-person use so you can press and drink in the same container.

For coffee...I planned to brew a whole bunch in advance and put it in 1 gallon water jugs for ice coffee. Also, the Starbucks Via instant coffee is not-so-terrible in a pinch.

Just one more thing I didn't think about - coffee! How will I survive? I don't want to pack even my mini-coffee pot, but something tells me I would feel differently Sunday/Monday morning....
This is what I ended up doing for coffee. I got a big one so I can hand out coffee to everyone. But i didn't think 30$ was bad for it......http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009PUQI2?ie=UTF8&force-full-site=1

Mini-led lantern. I clip it onto my backpack at night. You can see in the porto, and it had a nice blinking red light option so no one steps on you while sitting in the field in the dark and/or body slams you while wondering around in the dark.
