Those Mio water things were really awesome last year. They made me want to drink more water and keep hydrated. They taste soooo good too. I recommend the strawberry watermelon. One 4 dollar bottle of Mio lasted me, the whole weekend and its so small that it fit in my pocket

Has anyone tried the other mio energy flavors? I was not a fan of the green one, to the point where I couldn't even drink enough to find out if the energy part is for real. So my next question would be how do they stack up w/ other energy drinks?

I think it's been said here before but I cannot stress how much sticking your feet in some ice a couple times a day makes bonnaroo so much better. Totally worth ruining some expensive ice!
We usually ice the dogs before we head out to centeroo everyday and man does it make a difference in how your feet feel.
All my friends have recently started using Pedialyte to prevent hangovers. It's basically a children's supplement used to promote hydration; it has a crazy amount of electrolytes and a special compound in it to help you absorb more water. You add it to water like you would crystal lite. It's crazy, made specifically for dehydration in kids (mainly those who have diarrhea). Find it in the kids aisle, but I'm bringing some just so I don't DIE of dehydration.
Never tried the pedialyte for a hangover, but alka seltzer is an awesome hangover cure as well. I would get the flavored kind because the original is pretty nasty.

I made one of these using an LED light strip, a 9V battery adapter and a switch all of which I housed inside an empty cigarette box. I used a big paper clip like this to attach it to the inside of my test.
Oppikoppi 2006 (easter), 2008,2009,2010,2013
Woodstock (South Africa) 2006, 2007
Ramfest 2009

Smoking Dragon 2011, 2013
Sasquatch 2012

with those rain boots you wear, you have a lot of room to work.
mine are now in their final form. spent about 20 hours at vibes (not always at 100% sobriety) sewing the el wire into the shoe. no more wire blowouts when the silicone fails!

As far as taste goes, I like Mio a lot more than Gatorade or Powerade. I like that you can add as much or as little as you want. As far as the energy part...neither Mio or Power/Gatorade do anything for me.

Well I meant actual energy drinks, not Power/Gatorade. Was planning on bringing a few Amps and a case of Bawls, I like the taste of both and they give me alot of energy.

But seriously, jumper cables (likely area said there is too many posts in this thread to look back) but theyre awesome to have for you or your neighbor.
We bought them after someone on here suggested them. Soak them in your icy cooler water, they really do get cold and bring your whole body temp down. A little on the expensive side, but that is because they work! Our friends didn't buy them for that reason and they ended up wanting to use ours all weekend. Amazing. Looks like they make bandanas too, I think I'm going to get one to wear into centeroo
^^^^ used one for the first time last year and I'll never go without one again. I got the larger one and just drape it over my shoulders. Get it soaked and your good for over a few hours

i got a frog toggs hat for last years roo, and the thing is pretty awesome, it stays wet and cool alot longer than a normal hat would if you soaked it in water.. but with the heat last year it still only lasted about 20 mins.

Not sure this really fits the surprising category but dri-fit shirts. I have never been to 'Roo but I am a festival veteran including a few in brutal heat and picking up some Nike, Under Armour, Adidas or any other brand that makes dri-fit shirts for the days will really help out. They are light and will help with the sweat, heat, and your body odor. I actually went and picked up a couple of new ones for 'Roo this year. I would suggest getting a light color. It is far better than wearing cotton t-shirts because they also dry fast if you get wet.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

which nike model would u recommend? i get them at wholesale price as i have an account with them. i usually stay away from ordering the shirts as they do not sell too fast at my location, but i have no quams about getting them for myself :-P

It depends on how you like your shirts to fit. If you like just regular t-shirts then just get the regular dri-fit. If you like them tighter, you can get the fitted Nike Combat shirts.

One of my favorite items from last year was a cheap sleeping mask from Walmart. It helped me sleep in a couple of extra hours without the bright sun in my eyes.

#1 Jump Starter
Not only for your own vehicle, but for your friendly neighbors who may need a jump... Also, most of the newer ones have charging ports for USB devices (phones) and regular 3 prong outlets for everything else. Most of them also have an air compressor built in, you most likely wont have a flat out on the farm, but it will blow up an air mattress pronto.
#2 Collapsible Mini Stool
Iv never had an issue bringing my stool ("Stooley") into Centeroo, folded flat in a backpack. Im 6'4" so I dont use it, my wife is 5'5" and loves it. She stands on it in front of me and is still shorter than me (so we dont obstruct anyone's views any moreso than I would by myself). Also, when chilling on a blanket between shows or in the back of a concert, we sit down and use it as a mini-table for food and beer. $8.00 at WalMart. She wouldnt come to 'Roo or Hangout without it.
#3 Hide-a-Key
I usually take my Dad's old suburban so I can drive 6-8 people, and most of my friends will lock any valuables in the vehicle when we leave the campsite. Im certainly not going to be on call to head back to the campsite to unlock it for folks, so I bring a hide-a-key and place it somewhere under the truck. We are obviously careful to not let the entire world see where you retrieved the key from or what exactly youre doing when you get the key... Kneel down to tie your shoe, then grab it...or simply place it at arms length under the base of the tent. It also a lifesaver if someone locks the keys in the car at some point (I always have a few folks who want to hop in the truck and blast the A/C for 10-15 minutes throughout the day...see Jump Starter above for those issues.)
#4 Ratchet Straps
Rope is easy, but will inevitably loosen. Ratchet straps can be tied MUCH tighter, and if tent/tarps/shelter shifts, they can be easily tightened or re-strapped.
#5 BC Powder
I dont leave home without it. I get headaches in the heat, and I also like to drink quite a bit of rum. BC works the fastest for me, and I even take it before I start drinking as preventative maintenance and It almost always works (with a TON of water of course.)
I'll let you in in on my little secret. No one minds you scooting in through or leaving a crowd when your spraying everyone down with one of these bad boys. And at 6'3, I need all of the help I can get. I can either be the tall asshole who no one can see over or the tall asshole spraying this cool delight. It's truly gotten me out of some pickles. At first people are like gross what am I being sprayed with and then there like holy shiz that feels wonderful. I hook mine up to my camelback and it definitely keeps me cool. Only $19.99 through academy.
Mud boots. If it rains they are a must period! You won't believe how many sandals were lost in the mud in 2004!
Of course if you bring them it won't rain!
I bring mine every year because I know the year I don't, the farm will flood!
Please keep bringing them. I can deal with a lot of heat or a little precipitation but I hate it when everything gets trashed or I have to set up or take down camp in the rain.
I bought rain boots for Roo and have never worn them. I've worn my Crocs and been too afraid to wear the boots since not broken in at all. At 1 point though I did get my foot yucky near a portapottie...ick!
