I want to add that I told Idio at the brunch that I didn't like Stealing Time from the Faulty Plan, but after hearing it on the farm and listening to the recording today, I really like it.
^^I forgot you told me that, Mojo, to be perfectly honest. I definitely didn't pick up on it after listening, but I can't say I was going into it with open ears either
Listen to Bobby Jean again in about ten years and see if you don't think differently.
I too was sort of disappointed that Phish and the Boss began to repeat Glory Days, then I really got into listening how differently Phish played it, especially at the end. It was intense to watch the boys and the boss jamming out from the pit. One of the best roo moments for me.
To everyone shocked at the level of criticism from the phish community about bruce's appearance: Welcome! The second best thing to being at a phish show is bitching about shows. Sad but true.
Amazing: Phish, Bruce, Amadou & Mariam, Vieux Farke Toure, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Wilco, NIN Good to great: Animal Collective, NIN, Jimmy Buffet, King Sunny Ade, Tobacco, MGMT, Passion Pit, Kraak & Smack Glad to have seen: Oakenfold, Grizzly Bear, Beastie Boys, of Montreal, Snoop Dogg

i dont remember too much of Bruce's set on saturday due to us being right next to the beer stands ;D , so the repeat of Glory Days was only disappointing when i was later informed he played it saturday.
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good
Anybody think that they played so well Sunday was because they knew Bruce was on the farm? Maybe really trying to impress him.
absolutely, positively 100% not. That's actually just plain silly (I refrained from using your favorite word, Meg ) to think that. Phish doesn't have to try and impress anybody at this point.
not goin to lie missed both phish shows but now listening to sunday's show and kinda pissed i missed it...don't really like these guys but it sounds like it was a good show

Hmm, I don't know, if I knew my hero was watching me play a set, I'd play a little bit harder to try and impress him. You know, like in the Might Ducks when Coach Bombay is talking about how he used to try and impress his dad when he would show up at games. This is exactly like that.

even if you kind of like the recordings, you dont get it. you really just don't get it till you've experienced it. actually in that regard it is much like bonnaroo.

Agreed. Ha if only Scotty Banks was with you, i liked D2 better is that a crime?

But we've already learned that you're not allowed to compare Bruce in any way whatsoever to a dad, unless we're talking Byrne... so that analogy is whack.

PHISH SUCKS!!!!!! Sorry guys. Even at Bonnaroo, me and the rest of my camp agreed it was the most boring elevator music we had ever heard. The lightshow was cool, but I just can't understand the appeal of a cow bell and singing about egg salad or whatever....

Just thinking back, and this is totally off subject, but it was really fucking awesome to see how excited Trey looked to be back on the farm Friday night... It totally added to my awesome night. He was fucking radiating happiness all over the place.

I hear ya! Someone from their crew updates the twitter page live from the stage, song by song. It just kept building and building. I can't wait to get the SBD. On paper... that mess is killer

hahahaha, that's my gf's #1 complaint. the lyrics arent meaningful enough.
she does like that they sing in the round a lot. i like the massive ups and downs in a jam... and the insane glowsticks. and the scene.

I Disagree. They don't suck. They are very talented.
After looking at the last couple setlists (Burgettstown & St. Louis), I wonder if they'll play some Undermind tunes tonight. The last couple nights have been filled with classics... Im hoping for newer tunes like "Undermind", "Scents & Subtle Sounds", or "Crowd Control". Id also really love to hear a "Mexican Cousin"
