Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
But that doesn't mean that because Phish is playing Bonnaroo that they are playing Rothbury.
I didn't say that. I believe I listed all the reasons why I think it's a possibility. I've said before that I didn't think they would play ANY fests, but if they did, I thought it would be Rothbury. Well, now aparently they are doing a fest. So, as I've stated before, if they do any fests, I think they'll do Rothbury (again, assuming Rothbury happens).
No. I don't have a source that has specifically told me that this will happen. It's just speculation. And because I know other things about the fest, and the band, and the folks in charge of the fest, it just makes sense.
I didn't come here to make a big deal about how Phish should play Rothbury and not Roo. But when others start saying That they absolutely won't, I'm going to tell you the reasons that I don't tink that is necessarily true.
And yes, if Phish is at Bonnaroo, and Rothbury does not happen this year, I will most like go to Roo. If Phish is at Roo, and Rothbury happens without Phish, I don't know what I'll do.

I just made my account today! All of these rumors are getting me so anxious for February to be here and finally know all festie lineups! If Phish does play bonnaroo I think they will HAVE to raise the number of tickets sold. Phish is just to big in the hippie scene to play with 120 other bands and only have 80,000 tickets sold.
Like a bunch of us have said, no one really knows until lineups start coming out. Untill then, it's all speculation
Look, I get that you love Rothbury and would prefer to never go back to Bonnaroo. But that doesn't mean that because Phish is playing Bonnaroo that they are playing Rothbury.
I'm not going to sit here and tell you I have inside sources, but you are flat out fooling yourself if you think Phish is going to play Bonnaroo AND Rothbury this summer. Just not gonna happen.
Your midwest run will consist of Alpine Valley and Deer Creek, probably 2 nights at each.
Mark it down.
Clarity, I usually agree with you on a lot of points, but I have take Gouge's side on this one. From what I've heard (from some of the people claiming confirmation of Phish at 'roo) is that their contract with Bonnaroo prevents them from doing any other festivals this summer. Additional rumors suggest they will throw their own fest in the Fall, once the contract with Bonnaroo is up.
I was there. Phish at Jazz Fest would be chaos, just like last time.
I could see that. Phish is just a little too big for Jazzfest. Was it just the size of the crowd or was it bad behaviour?
It was really both. The hippie scene outside of the fairgrounds was insane. The crowd inside the venue was huge as well. It was very difficult to get anywhere near the stage. It was just all too much for the fest, almost everyone that day showed up for Phish.
Now, that said, if Phish ever plays Jazz Fest again, I'll be there! I just don't see it as a realistic possibility.

Well I'm just going to shut up about it then. I have to admit, sometimes I get so caught up in proving my point, I forget to listen.

I'm excited, and I don't even know that much Phish...that being said, I'm sure I will by June ;D . Several of my bonnaroo buddies have bitched b/c they don't like Phish...but I really feel like they deserve 2 nights. And I'll be there, dancing with the best of them, I just won't know the words.
I won't be disappointed if they're not on the lineup, either. It's still a rumor. I'm playing a wait-and-see game.
I agree with the dumbass posts comment, though I think it's often a game of who can name the more obscure, up-and-coming band and gain the most indie cred, while continuing to bash all those hipsters who embrace the indie scene and every obscure, up-and-coming band out there.
I don't think that's an accurate characterization at all. If anything inforoo music tastes can run a little dated. I mean, there was a push for Yes to play last year for chrissakes.
If you truly feel that way though, I suggest you spend a day on the Coachella boards, make any remark in any thread about a band you like and prepare to get your ass flamed by true music nazis.
As for the lineup being broken down, hey, even a blind squirrel can find a few nuts from time to time. I mean, there are only so many bands touring in a given year who could fit into the Bonnaroo lineup. Sometimes there are links to articles that back up the points, and sometimes they prove to even be true. But it seems like more often than not, they don't.
If you want to find a more organized breakdown of lineup speculation, I suggest you check out Consequence of Sound and their festival outlook, but I'll tell you straight away that they mostly reference this board.
Most of the time, articles like the one Rolling Stone published about Phish and Springsteen, only serve to confirm rumors long held on these boards. Now, it's impossible to know what rumors are BS and which ones aren't before the lineup is officially released, but the point still stands. This is THE source of Bonnaroo information which is why I would imagine you've been posting enough to rack up over 1,000 posts.

Yea for real. I take it jack wasn't around in 2007.
I was agreeing was Dudezer, who was arguing that inforoo is the most valuable resource for rumors surrounding Bonnaroo. In 2007 the entire line-up was leaked on this board, and Rollingstone (along with dozens of other publications) picked up on it and spread it like wildfire.
