ha, sorry, found the tennessean link. I'd been reloading the "oountdown to lineup release" page for the last hour. Didn't see you had to click another link to get to the actual lineup.
"According to Jonathan Mayers, president of festival co-producer Superfly, Phish will play two distinct shows on the Bonnaroo main stage on two separate nights: a two-set performance and an additional late-evening set."

I would guess Beasites headline Friday - they won't play for more than two hours, allowing plenty of time to set-up for a Phish latenight to run from 12-4.

I agree. Although I have heard it was NiN Friday. This makes much more sense though, with Beastie Boys Friday. But a lot of people have been talking about Phish late night Friday for quite some time now.

^^^^^^^!!!! yeah it's starting to make me nervous. i think im gonna have to try and divert some funds from something to get my ticket when they go on sale! mark my words. This Will Be The Fastest Sellout Of Bonnnaroo. just put 2 and 2 together. both nights of alpine valley soldout out in a couple hours. most of the tour soldout in 1 to 3 hours. all of these people that got shutout are going to be buying tickets to bonnaroo. all of these people that didn't get shutout are going to be buying tickets to bonnaroo. this show will sellout fast kids. i tried for about 45 minutes to get my great woods ticket and only landed 2 lawns once and then they soldout. ALL of my friends were trying just as hard as me and not a single one of them got tickets. be prepared. but on a brighter note. the Phish roo show will be one of there greatest and most likely one of the greatest on the farm as well. not only are they going to be getting all there fans that got knocked out of there tour they will also have many many more skeptics that aren't big fans. these are the shows that really shine with Phish. when the world is watching Phish never dissappoints. expect surprises. expect shock and awe. expect your face to be completely melted. and not only will these shows be amazing but i have a funny feeling phish is gonna bring some new strangeness into centeroo. it only makes sense with there production companies sharing members and the way that they built that sunken city during IT. expect some strange new additions to Centeroo this year. it's gonna be crazy. bring your dancing pants kids. this years Roo is gonna be one of the biggest.
Finally!!! This is a ten year dream come true for me. In August of 1999 there was a music festival held on a certain farm we all know and love called Itchycoo Park. I did not attend the festival, but I did go out to see some friends on the final day. At the time I walked up to the stage, there were maybe 1000 people on the field watching Christopher Cross. Imagine the What Stage field with only 1000 people on it. I turned to my group of friends and told them these apparently prophetic words: "If Phish played out here 100,000 people would show up." My friends, non-Phish phans all, scoffed at the notion that my "hippy" band could bring that many people. I felt slightly vindicated when Bonnaroo was born, but now my dream has come true and I will be seeing Phish on that same field with 100,000 of my real phriends!!!!

www.jambands.com/News.phtml?newsfile=redesign_news402.html#2-2-30 "Phish and Bruce Springsteen are both major coups for the festival, which has its roots in the jam and classic-rock scenes. Both artists will make their only U.S. 2008 festival appearances at the four-day event, squashing rumors that Phish will play Rothbury and Outside Lands later this summer. In addition to a full two-set headlining performance, Phish will deliver a special late-night set as guitarist Trey Anastasio did in 2005."
A TWO set headlinging performance and a late night set!!!! Can't wait to go Phishing this summer

not a huge phish fan, but i'm definitely stoked for all of you that they got added.
hopefully this doesn't sell out before volunteer applications are up, i'm too broke to get a ticket but i think i'll die if i don't make it to the farm this year...and i'm sure if it sells out everyone's gonna try to volunteer to make it.
well, you ask me why i'm drunk all the time it levels my head and eases my mind i just walk along and stroll and sing i see better days and i do better things

Thanks I was coming here to post this.
I remember someone saying something about "Phish not having silly clauses about not playing other festies" . . .

doesn't mean they necessarily have a clause in any contract.......just that they aren't playing other festivals.
i wouldn't be surprised if some time down the road they had their own fest like many have been saying
