^Anything is possible I don't think it really fits though.
I don't really feel like it fits either...or if it was right the clue is not that creative...but then again, he is somewhat related to AC/DC and has dates set to play Roo. I guess the AC/DC connection is not that strong, but djjd did say the clues would be harder this year...that could mean smaller connections.
Well someone who is influenced by AC/DC and not in Europe would leave us with a pretty wide open field of musicians. I just dont think it is going to be easy at all this year.

what about massive attack or a dj set from of the dudzers?
a dj is more likely, obviously. they do it super frequently. and they're from the uk.
air, daft punk, boards of canada, massive attack, aphex twin, the chemical brothers. there are so many huge euro electronic acts that would be so fitting and so over due.
I really think the Edison thing is the best path we have...
Riddles are supposed to give you a definite answer... unless we're not using the "Not in Europe" part to successfully narrow down the selection, we've had way too many loose connections to being AC/DC saying "the artist is bisexual, a dj, etc."
Maybe it isn't a band with Edison in their name, but a band with a member who's first or last name is Edison.
I stick by my Edison theory, and I'm not sure why more people are not with me.
I don't get it either. I'm with you 100% on that, it's the only thing that makes sense to me. To be honest, I think the reason everyone's not seeing it is that we seem to have a lot of people who weren't doing this last year. Don't get me wrong, guys, I'm glad to have more people guessing with us - but it doesn't make sense to not use last year's clues as an indication, and the Edison theory fits perfectly with trends.

yeah as far as I'm concerned this clue has been solved for a while now. Maybe not, but come on... I'm not trying to be rude here but when this answer is identical to the style of clue-answer as last year with a reference to a notable Roo band's lyrics... I really don't see how some of these other guesses are still coming up! I mean... this is way more relevant and logical and any other verb you could think of than say, someone who considers AC/DC an influence. (Definitely not singling out anyone here, or not trying to atleast. It's just the last one that I read and stuck in my mind)
Edison it is. If it's wrong, then damn we all just got punk'd
^ I love you guys. Three consecutive posts I wholeheartedly endorse.
I'm a big advocate of logic.
I've been with you on this one for awhile. I think alot of people are starting with a conclusion and working backward. By this I mean they are thinking "I would like band X to play Bonnaroo therefore the clue means band X will be playing."

im still a fan of the tv on the radio logic.
ac = wall outlet power - tv dc = battery power - radio tv/radio is tv over radio, mathematically. so, tv on the radio.
all they have scheduled thus far are all the big day out fests in australia in mid january.
i can't think of any bands with edison in the name that are anywhere big enough for much to be know about them, which would mean it must be a person. but that just seems to broad i spose.

^^^So you're saying Edison as the answer is too broad for "Someone is AC/DC", when a direct quote from a White Stripes song is "Edison is AC/DC" but your logic for TV on the Radio is that you plug TVs into the wall and Radios are battery powered, thus AC/DC?

^^That's what we all thought last year when the clue was "Clouds Taste this way" everyone swore it'd be the Flaming Lips (except the Detective, mind you )
I'm just saying if history is any reason to base our logic on, this clue is in the books!

Really??
While I think that Edison is probably correct, I'd feel a bit better if there was an AC/DC lyric that said "We are..." and led to a clue. Maybe it's because I've never heard of Edison before so they don't feel like a logical fit, such as Metallica with the "Clouds taste like this" clue and the Pearl Jam clue, both of which confirmed existing rumours.

i guess it makes more sense to me because it results with SOMETHING. i dont think they'd give us clues for obscure unknown bands. they'll give us hard clues, not clues that lead to nowhere, no?
give me a band that is big enough to play that fits the edison logic and i will secede. i thinks its a promising direction, i just dont see a result yet. and its not going to be the "edison the band" band, those are just kids from the uk and they dont even have a drummer right now.
