Robert Johnson dusted his broom. He won't be at Bonnaroo due to being dead since before any of us were born. Elmore James, ZZTopp, and Fleetwood Mac also did that song.
I don't think this is a clue to a performer. I think he is telling us he's gonna dust off his radio and start giving us more clues.
Eric Clapton did a whole CD of Robert Johnson covers, regularly plays his stuff live, and generally considers him to be his biggest influence
I think he headlined in 03 on Friday night. But Bonnaroo is richer now, right? I mean, Panic headlined the Saturday night of that year.
ok i checked, he did headline. he was 3rd on the list. but lesh went from headliner to late night. so i agree with the previous poster, if he played he would be pre-headliner sun.

Why couldn't it be Friday Phish>Dead, Saturday, Neil Young>Phish, Sunday Bruce (i would trade neil for bruce in a heartbeat though, if thats what it came down to)

The king is gone but he's not forgotten This is the story of a johnny rotten It's better to burn out than it is to rust The king is gone but he's not forgotten.
Hey hey, my my Rock and roll can never die There's more to the picture Than meets the eye. Hey hey, my my.
This is where the "Rust"- Neil Young connection comes from. For what it's worth (csn song, no pun intended.)
i am thinking Snoop Dogg too! it is kinda obvious but some of the previous ones were too imo...keeping with some of the popular hip hop and rap.
I would love it if he did show cause i really have always loved snoop but not at the expense of loosing other more jammy headliners....in any case he would def do better than the kanye debacle....
