Yes I saw that article but all it says is that he and he alone is going to be there, at least that is what I understood from the wording. I would love for Dave to be on the farm though, he always puts on a hell of a show.

I have no idea about this one, but I'm tossing it around in my brain to see what I can come up with. I really like the Dead logic, but at the same time I dunno if we'd get a clue that big. I think we need to be thinking about undercard bands rather than headliners.
the one half .... has involved revolved devolved and evolved. No Devo is not playing Bonnaroo. The other half of split personality is the social networker
The first half fits the core 4 of the (mickey, weir, kreutzman, lesh)dead. They have been involved in every Roo (either as the dead, phil+friends, or ratdog). They devolved when Jerry died, evplved into the Other Ones/Dead,. Now after a 4 year break, they are re-volving
The Social Networker could be Warren Haynes who plays with ABB, Govt Mule, the Dead, and probably others.
Edit: DEVO DEAD
I like this interpretation alot. Also, the involved part could refer to them doing a show for Obama. The first thing I thought of when I saw the clue was that involved refers to social/political action. It all fits.
The other possibilty I think is a band that split, with some of the members currently in a band together, and a seperate member not involved in making music at all, but doing something else in the public eye (social networking) But I have no idea who fits that bill.

If it makes sense then it makes sense, if we are still off then DJJD will probably let us know. But I don't think we should count out a band just because they are big. And just because The Dead have headlined in the past doesn't mean they will headline every time they are there, look at Phil Lesh last year.

Uncle Tupelo split up.........formed Son Volt and Wilco...........discuss
Okay, Uncle Tupelo splitting, to have Wilco (the evolve, devolve (all the crap with YHF) etc. And then Ken Coomer was the drummer for Uncle Tupelo (and for Wilco for awhile) He is now a producer, and has also played on a bunch of other people's albums, so he's "the other half of split personality (that) is the social networker." Wilco could work.

Yay, radio clues! AND SO IT BEGINS. (And I'm proud of myself because I was smart and I made notes as I read through everything this time so updating the site will be easier than yesterday).
So did djjd just replay that clue for us after jennaroo asked? Sounds like we've got a lurking farmhand here, laughing at our guesses probably!
Did anybody catch more of the clue this time? Or is anyone on a mac?

first thought popped into my mind is Tennessee Jed, but I know that's not the answer...somebody who was born in TN? oh dear God we're getting Justin Timberlake

Also, the Dead even as a headliner isn't going to shock anyone. People will be more surprised if they're not on the bill. This would be confirming the speculation. On the other hand, someone like the White Stripes, Neil Young, or Roger Waters would come out of left field, and I think they'd like to keep the surprises close to the vest until the announcement.

Ooh, and another new clue while I was typing that last post!
Are there any music blogs or anything based in Tennessee? Or a radio station, maybe? I'm wondering if the dog that barks the loudest could be somebody who's reporting on Bonnaroo rumors or something.
Also, with the other clue (two halves, social networker, etc.) I immediately thought that was referring to djjd himself. After his other clue that said "farmhand has changed" somebody wondered if it wasn't Todd doing it this time, and I thought the two halves thing might mean there were two people this time - someone's doing the radio clues, and somebody else is the one posting on here (and maybe Mr. Zimmy?). I haven't turned the radio on yet, is the voice for the clues still Todd's voice?
Edit: Oh, and isn't anybody out there on a Mac? We could really use a Mac user here....

Could the new clue be a reference of Allman Brothers...they were born in TN...and Greg is the social networker of the group as it's his name on there... btw...Jtim was a joke, Bonnaroo wouldn't be that cruel, would they?
...dissolve?.... .. find out what Tennessee dog barks the loudest remember he is the social networker.
not even close to the original sorry headphones are much easier.
maybe "find out what Tennessee dogs barks the loudest" means we will get a clue for the band that will bring the most hype. also i googled the social networker. theres a site just called the social networker. at the top it says " the return of the unexpected".... so my guess is for radiohead. its the epic show of bonnaroo. this would be crazy! also i looked up the radiohead tour. they released more dates for march. the only thing is they are coming off the end of a tour. i'm just not sure...
