I saw an ad in the Sunday paper for Academy Sports & Outdoors. 10 x 10 ez ups are on sale for $59.99. I think they're reg $69.99
I think I'm going to get one this week bc 10 x 10 is plenty of space, and ez ups are good quality. I'll never buy a generic canopy again & have it break on me at a festival.
This year is my first 'Roo but I went to Summer Camp in Illinois last year. My group is going camping only and to avoid multiple trips to the car, boyfriend and I are going to get this:
^^ I have that! Only I got mine at Target last year. You might want to get two - they don't hold a lot and can be tricky to maneuver over bumps and such when fully loaded. I haven't taken it onto dirt and grass, but it has made it over the many cracks of DC sidewalks!

Oh thanks and karma for that tip! I haven't gone to the store to see what it looks like in person but I will keep that in mind.

if you go to coleman.com and click on "family store" and enter the password FAMILY when it asks for it, you get mega awesome deals. i just got a tent doing that and saved a lot of dough. it was normally 180, i got it for 113. also, if you buy coleman tents and sun shelter/shades, if something breaks on them, you don't have to throw them away, you can just order a replacement part. hopes this helps someone!
sorry.....i didn't read through all of the posts and someone had already mentioned this. i was just trying to share the love!!! it really does work though, so check it out.
i'm looking for a cheaper alternative to a camelbak. do any of you have a knock-off? did it work? how much was it? worth the cash?
www.sunnysports.com/prod/CMLSU.html?ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=CMLSUBK has one style of women's camelbak that is now $24.95. I'm still debating if I want to get a Camelbak but I may go ahead and get it. I haven't found any knock-offs that had what I wanted (outside bungees for blanket) but that's a pretty good deal for a camelbak.
Okay I've tried to do the coleman.com thing a couple of times and I'm just dense or something. I don't find the "family store" thing. I've even tried searching within the sight and it gives me nothing. Has someone done this? What am I missing?

Does anyone know where to get really cheap flat plastic flasks that hold about 10oz? I don't want anything to big. I found some at campmor for $3.99 but wonder if anyone else got a better price?

Thanks! I keep debating if I want to get one or not cause I have two backpacks (one from college and a small one work gave me) but none of them are as cool as a camelbak, lol, and don't have a dedicated water pocket.
For those that bring earplugs, where did you get yours? I had some last year that I had bought at Wal-mart or Target or somewhere, just your regular, run-of-the-mill earplugs. And they pretty much sucked. I don't want to spend a lot, but I'd at least like them to block out some sound instead of feeling like I've just stuck my fingers in my ears.

Flanged earplugs are the way to go, IMO. They are much more comfortable than those foam ones, and you can reuse them. Like these: www.amazon.com/CBT3404004-UltraFit-Flanged-Plugs-Cord/dp/B0006GWRJK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1241560968&sr=8-3 I got mine at work, but you can might be able to find them at Walmart or somewhere, or look at a local industrial/environmental supply store. Places that rent out equipment/sell safety gear (work boots, safety vests, hard hats, etc.)
On a kind of side note. Most people don't insert their earplugs correctly, which can make them more uncomfortable-and not really work. The right way is to reach your opposite hand behind your head, pull back on your ear (straightening the ear canal), then insert the plug. Hope this helps!
