If you're looking for tarps, might want to check out this guys store on ebay. I bought a 20 x 20 tarp that I'm gonna shade my site with. It was half the price of other places I looked into.
If you have a Sam's Club membership, you can get one of these handy folding hand trucks for $23, would help to move stuff to tent-only if that is your plan. Holds up to 150 pounds, folds up pretty small, and isn't very heavy:
Picked one up yesterday at Sam's. $21.50. Should make our trip to tent only a little easier.
Anyone from New England - I checked out the Christmas Tree Shops for roo supplies this weekend and found some great deals:
- 10" battery powered fan = $7 - Spray sunscreen (Banana Boat) = $3 - 10 x 12 tarp = $6 - Paper lanterns = $1.50 each - EZ Up (knock-off, but seemed like good quality) = $60

Yeah that's what I'm counting on. Hopefully I won't have to use it at all, but if I get stuck out in BFE I'll be glad to have a dolly at hand!
yes a dolly is a glorious thing at Roo if you can fit it in your car. We probably wont be able to fit one this year as we are squeezing one more person in the car and all his crap so hopefully if I am stuck in BFE i can find a taxi to get the stuff to tent only
If you have an Aldi near you, the special purchases this week include camping stuff. The best deal is probably the small dome tent for $24.99. Also of interest, the camp chairs and the 99 cent "pancake shake-ups" just add water and shake for pourable pancake mix.
Some Aldi stores carry liqueur and what I've tried is actually quite good. I got a bottle of strawberry irish cream for $9. It is delicious. I've probably saved at least 40% on my grocery bill since I started shopping at Aldi a few months ago. I will definitely be buying my roo food there.

I don't know if anyone has posted this, but I just saw Rural King has an ebay store and they are selling 10x10 EZ ups for 79.99 with 10 dollar flat-rate shipping (or so it seems).
I'm totally getting one now, but I'm wondering if any of you guys have bought any of the special stake kits or if you have a certain way of securing the canopy just in case it gets a little windy. I've never used one before so I'm a little ignorant.

I have been looking for some heavy duty tent and ez-up stakes. Anyone have any suggestions? Most of the stakes I have came across look sharp and obviously that could be an issue.

also if you have a Dick's Sporting Goods near you, they have their own brand shade tents (10x10) for 59.98. Was at the new Dick's in West Palm this weekend and saw them.

I got my ez up todayyyy... Walmart for 54 bucks...
AVOID the cheapies at Target! They're less money, but when I took out the insert to see how they were put up:
"Slot A into slot 46B, only after you spin around twice and answer the riddle of the Billy Goat's Gruff, find the griffin, slay the dragon, rescue the princess, and click pole 42C into 49F."

And for those of you residing in the Baltimore area - KMart is having a clearance sale on a ton of Coleman gear, check out what I picked up today:

All of the above are Coleman brand, I found them at the store on Mt. Hope Drive - Good luck and see you all at the 'Roo!
I just bought the best thing. Glow in the dark polypropylene rope. This will come in handy
Harbor Freight has some great cheap ass stuff. Right off I-24 coming in from the North on the way to Manchester. Because everyone needs a solar powered bird bath.

I was hanging out in the Target discount aisle the other day, and I picked up a ton of batteries for $1 and some of those straw beach mats for $2.50. Good time to stock up on the shit-ton of batteries you know you are going to need at any fest, and those beach mats come in very handy if things get muddy.

I got all my batteries @ BigLots last year for 50 cents a package. They sell that brand for 50 cents all year so I am going to swing by there to stock up this year too. I have a lot of battery powered fans that take C's and those get pricey of you just buy them regular price.
We got a really inexpensive power inverter from BigLots last year too, and that is also where I got our tent and it has held up for about 5 years and we have used it in about four heavy thunderstorms and it has never leaked. If you live by a Big Lots I suggest hitting them up for everythinkg you can!
