Man, I wish I could jump on the Camelbak bandwagon but the idea of sucking on water that is heated by being against my body all day and out in the blazing sun like a solar shower is for some reason totally unappealing to me... [/]
I have the daystar and it is insulated. It stays cold as long as it takes me to drink it. The water in the tube after you take a drink gets hot and it's really best just to spit that out. Fortunately spitting is one of the least offensive public releases of fluid at Roo.

I usually pack mine with ice every time I go back to camp. Ends up staying pretty cool throughout the day.

And here all these years I thought camel backs were made for wine.
It's a good price but be warned--the square footage of shade on this slant leg 10X10 shelter is only 64 square feet. If you get a strait leg 10X10 it has 100 square feet.
Keep an eye on the Kmart ads--I got a 10X10 straight leg shelter for $64 recently. The price difference is well worth the bigger shade area.

Not sure about other brands, but we use the ones from kmart and they're decently made.
I'd recommend against the folding Guide Gear hammock. I bought one a couple years and it didn't take long for the hammock to start coming apart at the seams, which appears to be a common problem. It also does not cradle you like a normal hammock, and I was unable to find a good sleeping position. The frame is sturdy and well constructed, but the low height with little drop from the hooks to the center means the swinging is awkward, it is a bit hard to get in and out of, and it is strung very tightly. I slept on mine the last two years at Roo, and a few other nights, and I doubt I'll pack it this year.
That other hammock looks like it would be much more comfortable, and that cot looks good, too, though I don't have personal experience with either one.

BONNAROO BABY!!
That is pretty handy. I have always carried a blanket that folds up into a bag. I have had mine for like 6 years, but it is the older model of this. I might have to upgrade to the one you posted or bonnaroo.
EDIT: that link isn't what I have. I can't find it anywhere, but it is a bag that unfolds into a water resistant blanket.

This thing is my most valuable piece of Bonnaroo equipment I've ever purchased. I lay one of those moon mats they are always selling in Centeroo on top (A friend got one for me on a year I couldn't go.. I hated it at the time but those things are great!), add some earplugs, sleep mask, and I get damn near a better night sleep than I get in my bed at home...
Not sure if that says more about the hammock or the lack of quality of my bed?
I got a solar backpack for my birthday, and I can't wait to put it into action! Headed up Mount Washington the last week in May, and we'll see how it works (especially above the clouds)!
In addition to that, I thought about buying a battery pack for it for the 1) additional USB port and 2) additional stored juicein' for the pushin'. Caught it on sale for 50% off! This would even be great to charge up at home and bring with you! Holds 98% of it's charge for 90 DAYS(so says the advertisement) for up to 6 full phone battery boosts. Get it >>here<<
And look how good it looks in a ladies' pocket!

it's got a built in ice chest. this looks like a little piece of heaven right here on earth. and it's not too expensive either.

It really isn't at expensive at all when you compare the alternatives. I think I caught it on sale and it was only like 80-90$ The little sun screen thing is a joke. I wouldn't even set it up unless you want to readjust it every time a light breeze hits it, but other than that it is fantastic! Mine has made it through 4 Bonnaroos, a couple of over packed hotel room trips and a few other fests and is still going strong,... I hope anyway...I actually have set this thing up next to my bed and slept in it when I am having back issues. I weigh like 185 now but I weighted 245 when I got it and had no problems at all for whatever that is worth to anyone.
I've never been to harbor freight tools but I made a stop there this weekend and they had a lot of small items pretty cheap. I picked up 2 LED flashlights for $2 8x11 tarp $6 Duct tap $2 24 barriers $5 Head lamp for $2
If you need tarps they had tons of sizes cheaper than I've seen them anywhere. Also if you in the market for an 18" machete only $6.

And if you do plan on going there, make sure you are signed up for their mailers, and check the website before going. They always have 20% coupons and other discounts, so there is no reason to pay their "regular" price for a lot of what they sell. And they often have coupons for freebies. Their tools are mainly house brands, so some of them stink, but a lot of them are pretty decent, and a lot cheaper than stores like Home Depot, Sears and Lowe's. And they have a lot of odds and ends and things you don't see every day.
Academy.com has 2 BCG (Academy brand) camelbacks for $20 a piece in addition to a few others. It has good reviews and there is free 3-5 business day shipping on most everything if you order $25 worth of stuff. Pick up some camping stuff, cool towels, headbands/bandanna, whatever. I got a few cooldannas to try them out to get my total over $25.
Harbor Freight also has a lot of cool solar lights, clamps for attaching tapestries and strings of lights to shelters, tent stakes, strong magnets for attaching stuff to your car...the list goes on and on, and they have the best prices anywhere. Sure, the quality is cheep, but if you are only using it a few times a year, what the hell?

Just bought this 8-set of 22-channel 16-mile walkie-talkies, great for a big(ger) group (like ours), and they're on clearance + free shipping at Walmart for $109.99. Order them quick though, the free shipping takes like a week so if you don't get them soon they'll be at your doorstep while you're at Earth, Wind and Fire.
After attending our 1st festival of the year this past weekend, I was able to convince the bf that we need another canopy to go over our tent. Anyone seen a good deal online? We have an REI Hobitat tent that's 8 feet tall (I think).
