Whatcha lookin for? I'm sure I can find a deal on whatever it is.
I pretty much have all the gear I need so I haven't been looking as much.
Could you find a 10x10 straight legged canopy? Trying to spend under $100
I found one on sale at Dick's Sporting Goods a couple years ago for $80, literally on the way to Roo. I think it is Quest brand. It's huge and easy to set up. They are $99 online right now.

I've had a slant-leg Quest brand canopy for a couple years, 10x10 I think. It is fairly solid, similar in quality to low-end E-Z Ups like the Sierra or whatever was the popular one they discontinued. I haven't used the straight leg one D1ck's has for $99.99, but it looks decent, and $100 shipped isn't bad. That Z-Shade at Academy looks good for the same money, too.
I got one recently from Woot. They were selling Coleman NCAA ones, mostly slant-leg but Ohio State and Texas were straight-leg, all $50. I got the Ohio State one and it is okay but they had no pictures of the two straight-leg ones, and they are not branded at all and don't appear to be Coleman, or Rawlings which they also mentioned. Not quite as nice as I had hoped but it was cheap and seems fairly solid. The listings for those appear and disappear all the time.
Definitely go with some sort of name brand if you can - E-Z Up are trusted, Quest has been okay for me, Quik Shade are known to be high quality, the Academy house brand ones are reported to be good here, and Caravan Canopy is trusted by a lot of event vendors. Just don't fall for the generic $40 discount store canopies, which are guaranteed to rip, leak, and bend so badly that you can't fold them back up, if they don't collapse completely when the wind blows. Been there, done that.

one to hang out at camp with or one to wear around while in centeroo?
Camp
make sure to get the 10 inch and not the 5. It's the 02 brand. Mine has lasted several years at Bonnaroo, multiple personal camping trips not bonnaroo related, and even goes with my nephew during the summer for his boy scout camping trips. Takes D batteries and I ususally bring a back up set of batteries "just in case" --- everyone at my campsite last year had their own. Holding onto it when you sleep is also amazing.
edit: i tried inserting the link but somehow just posted a picture. idk how to internet. you can get them at target in store or amazon for pretty cheap. i think i saw them at lowes the other day, too

The fan is key to sleeping past sunrise. That and some east facing shade. I hang a smaller fan at the top of my tent like the one Druid posted and keep a larger one at my feet.

I've seen them at Wal Mart and Academy, and of course Amazon. I have 2 of them and they are the best. Here's a link to the fan on Amazon, although the price here is way higher than it should be (but you can see what the box looks like): www.amazon.com/O2COOL-Battery-Operated-Adapter-Graphite/dp/B00ATSHJ1Q

bought one of these things last year to go with my other fan but getting the batteries in that cannister never worked out. I finally said fuck it after a few attempts.
I went to Dollar Tree yesterday and stocked up on a few Roo necessities. I got a few pair of extra sunglasses, small personal fans, extra large clamps (for hanging tarps/tapestries), multi-packs of hand sanitizer, a couple of butt buckets (for ashtrays), and some first aid supplies. They had lots of luau decorations and 5 hr energy too.

So here's the thing. Put on a season of say, Orphan Black. Any show would work really. Just don't come back here and fucking rank it. Then start loading the batteries. By the time you are on the last episode, boom, you are done and ready to go.

I have decided I want a new Camelbak. Anybody seen any deals?
I bought a mule last year, and even though it was kinda of pricey, it was the best purchase I have ever made. It is light, has a multiple pockets that fit lots of stuff easily and due to the design doesn't weigh you down when full. Jeremy was jealous of my pack afterwards and borrows it constantly. Right now Amazon has one in orange for $90, which seems expensive, but once again was the best purchase I have ever made.
If you could find one for cheaper, definitely buy it. I think I got mine for $75 at academy before Roo last year.
I got my awesome day star for around $30 bucks a few years ago. It was a color/style that was discontinued. It would be hard for me to pay $75 for one!

The straight-leg ones are gone. Still have 10x10 and 12x12 slant-leg E-Z Ups for $79.99 and $89.99. Not the lowest price you'll ever see for a canopy, but E-Z Up quality is top-notch. If the size works for you, you'd be hard pressed to find anything sturdier for under $100 and likely a bit more.
