Oh I am so excited. I love the alice in wonderland theme. As soon as I know I am going I will post and let you guys know what I can bring to help. Last year was too much fun and this year looks to be even bigger. LGH!
Anyone notice there are $3000 trailers for rent onsite? Sleeps 6 but seems a little steep. I've never rented an RV before so maybe someone here knows what one would go for per week. It's a 2400 mile trek for us so I guess gas would be an extra cost to be sure.

I actually took of note of those RV's for rent and thought the price was a little steep--

I checked on an RV rental website, you basically rent someone elses for a week and a 6 passenger (there is only 2 of us) was around 3500.00 for the week (min). It only gets 11 mpg, so we are going to tent it. BTW, i am a huge fan of Boulder area, been out there twice. I may come by and holler at you all. David

ehhh - we managed to get ours from cruise america for about $800.00 - picking up in Birmingham and driving to Huntsville for the rest of the crew and then to Manchester - they give us 600 miles on it. and that is to pick up on Wednesday and return the following Tuesday. So there are deals out there

Boulder is BEAUTIFUL and please do stop by for a beverage or two. We will have our game plan done two weeks before we leave, so I identifying us should be easy..... There are only two of us as well so it seems like money well spent, not to do the RV thang... Maybe someday we will buy one.
There are lots of extra costs in renting an RV, I've done it the last 2 roo's. i do like that the ones on site at roo this year are all connected, no need to pay for gas, or driving the giant rig around (which was ridiculous last summer with gas prices) and that they change out all the water/stuff... I think it'd make more sense to do the rented on-side RV's in GA tho-- doing it in VIP when there are already showers and bathrooms starts to get redundant.

Last year was my first bonnaroo. This year I'm thinking about doing VIP. I have a ton of newbie questions.
How many VIP tickets are sold? If you want to get to the exclusive viewing bleachers on the what and which stages is it easy to accomplish or is there a line or a wait or a turn taking system? How clean are the restrooms and showers? I hope i can figure out more in these next two hours before i buy my ticket!
New to the board, and it is already proving useful!
My wife Amy and I went VIP in 2006, with the hotel travel package. It was nice, but I missed the camping camaraderie. Just got our VIP tix for this year, and we will be camping for sure. Driving down from NYC. I'm pumped for this line up!
I was somewhat shocked at the VIP price increases when I checked my account with bonnaroo.com:
February 11, 2006 $1,120.25 USD February 23, 2007 $1,199.40 USD May 05, 2008 $1,258.55 USD (one DVD purchased) February 07, 2009 1:23 PM $1,444.10 USD (one DVD purchased)

Yeah, the price increase is much more noticeable this year - ~$80 increase between 2006 and 2007, ~$60 increase between 2007 and 2008... but a ~$200 jump between 2008 and 2009, AND with no food included. It's going to be $2000 per pair in a few years, I bet.

We had no problem getting in to the bleachers for any of the sets in '08. The women's restrooms were impeccable...there was an attendant in there nearly every time we visited, the individual rooms were clean and well stocked. Don't forget to tip the attendant at the end of the weekend!
The showers were pretty clean as well (but bring flip flops and a mesh bag to hold your shampoo, etc.).
