My group has grown substantially, baby daughter w/ Grandmom, my girlfriend and I, her brother and a friend- all in the RV VIP, then add four friends in one car-(last year we took two RV spots, one for the RV one for the car and tents) and another car load of two. We pull tie the tarps off the RV roof and make a tidy and high canopy. The tents ringing the open space with our beer tub and chairs in a circle under the tarps. If you see our DC flag flying, come have a beer.
I have a question. I bought ga tickets when i really wanted vip... I've decided I can't live without vip. does anyone have any experience with upgrading tickets through musictoday? will they do it? and how big of a pain will it be?
Looking at the areal shot from last year it looks like the VIP RV parking is in the back two sections of VIP. But I seem to remember RV's parked near the main VIP entrance last year too. We've always camped and been very close to the entrances - do we need to plan on a little more of a walk this year with the RV? I've enjoyed catching sets from my camp site in the past, but am worried we won't be able to do the same from the back of VIP.
jphreak - I just got off the phone with musictoday to do the same thing. Call the number on the merch page 877-687-4277 and ask to be transfered to "ticket support" and they should be able to help you out. What they told me was it should be no problem and they will email me with more info.

i called on monday or tuesday and they said it would only take a day... now they are telling me friday or next monday. Oh well, it's my fault. I should have listened to the wife in the first place. Now if it doesn't go through, I'll never hear the end of it. Lemme know how it turns out for you and i'll do the same
yeah i felt the same way... I just kept calling every day and finally today I got someone to do it. I also emailed info@bonnaroo.com and dude said that they don't need authorization from bonnaroo management so I don't know what the deal was.
Woohoo! My wife and I are now officially very important!
It sounds like musictoday just got a blanket authorization to allow people to upgrade without contacting Bonnaroo on a case by case anymore. So it just took a few minutes for them to place a new order and cancel our old GA order.
just checking in...first time at Bonnaroo AND going VIP style and first time RVers as well. John and Chuck our work website: www.glassescontacts.com just look for the 2 oldest guys there 47 and 48 WoHoo!!!
no we're not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that)

You're right, last year it seems like there were several RVs and trailers parked "up front" and interspersed with tents in the red area I circled below on a photo from '06. It's all very close and convenient, but it depends on what time you arrive. We rolled in around 11am on Thursday with a small pop-up camper and got a spot near my red X on the photo. This was close enough and fairly convenient to the showers and food tent. We definitely couldn't have watched/listened to a set from where we were.
For those who brought an RV and stayed overnight in the parking lot Wednesday night last year, what time did they allow you to enter on Thursday morning, and did you get a front row spot on the other side of the road? We're coming in earlier this year, but mostly because I'd rather be on the road than counting down the minutes on Wednesday afternoon...

Thanks for confirming what I had suspected based on my hazy memory from last year and looking back at the pics. Definitely interested in knowing how folks got up closer last year. We arrived about 10am Thursday morning and were camped (no RV) right outside the What entrance. But they were backfilling the parking in at that point back towards where you come into VIP. I want to say the RV's that were up front showed up late Thursday or maybe even Friday, but again I wasn't really paying attention. Would love to hear from someone who had an RV in that area.
Looks like you can add my name to the list. Back in vip for a second year though this year flying solo. Anyone who wants to chill just look for the dude sitting by himself with beer and good tunes. See you all on the farm.

Got VIP info in mail. I says not to arrive at the school before 9 am or you will be turned away. Is this BS like the GA rules? What time would you say is a good time to meet at the school? I would rather not get there at 9 and be waiting in line of cars for a while...

I don't remember what the rules were last year. I got there at 8 and waited about 20 minutes. Hoping for the same this year.
Last year was the first year at the high school so it is very hard to say what will happen this year. Last year we arrived at the school for check in at about 10:00 PM Wednesday and camped out all night in line until they started the check-in process. We are planning to do the same this year however if they indeed do not open until early Thursday morning we will just go back to the Wal-Mart and spend the night there.
Hello VIP'ers! I don't think we are cool enough to make it to Alice in Tarpland (as we plan late) so if you see two friendly ladies in VIP, we are daizee and Lesley.
We have more s**t packed in the truck to help anyone. We are coming from Nashville so we have it easy.
We will be in a Toyota Forerunner and can't wait to meet friends. We have the tent, a 10 x 10 with hold'em and rummy cube going on. Please join us! Find us:
