On Snoop doggs myspace page it says thursday at 8 he will be playing ,I know alot of bands have all the days of bonnaroo listed as the days they are playing so im assuming since he only has thursday listed that will be his set day .

It's been stated that NIN will have a "very special timeslot". Many have just assumed that means latenight. A late night confirmation has not come yet
Indeed. It's entirely possible that they will get the "early headliner" timeslot ala Jack Johnson last year, or something else entirely.
I was incorrect in saying that it was a latenight. But there is nothing "special" about Jack Johnson's spot from last year. Then again, AC/Superfly has been known to overhype announcements, ie: last years "Big Announcement" with WSP.
I just don't see NIN playing anything but latenight. Then again all reports have said that they won't be bringing their Lights in the Sky setup either, so anything is possible.

it was special, because no one had ever played that time slot before. i believe he was unapposed? so there were basically 2 headliners that night. i believe we will see that this year as well.

well originally Kanye was supposed to be playing opposite jack on the which stage but ofcourse kanye pulled all his bs and was moved to latenight, I wonder if we will see that where there are 2 acts in the same time slots of what jack and kanye were supposed to be.

that's what i'm thinking. i'm going to try to work that into my mock schedule.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
I was thinking Wilco and the mars volta, I think bonnaroo schedule planners know not to pin NIN vs TMV, but I could definately see Wilco vs TMV that would split the crowd.

That would be tough... I'd have to see whichever one was playing the What Stage before Bruce.

wilco vs tmv would suck too, but i saw wilco at the 07 show and tmv is my top band this year, so that would equal no wilco for me. but tmv vs nin would hopefully not be the exact same times so i could see at least some of nin, which is my number dos band

I am not arguing, I was just wondering if there was any confirmation about Kanye complaining about his slot and getting the late night. I know it is very logical and not a stretch of the imagination, I was just wondering if we ever had anything solid on this story.

It was in the schedule originally. I have the schedule saved at home and it says Kanye 8:15-9:45 Which stage, thats why they put up signs all over the place at bonnaroo saying his set time is 2:45 at the What stage. Because when people got the schedule and I know alot of people didn't get them because they ran out it said on it 8:15. Also I was working Pre-festival last year and when we had our first meeting with the volunteers they brought it up how he was changed to latenight. Also I was hitchhiking on site on tuesday before the festival and I was taking the back road that runs behind the What stage and a suv pulled up and gave me a ride for 3-5 minutes and the guy who was driving was on the phone with Kanyes manager bitching him out because of the contracts and the change in set time apparently it cost bonnaroo alot of money to put him on at 2:45 on the mainstage because they had contracts with the city to not put music on the mainstage past 1 am because the sound from the speakers travel so far and people in manchester go to church on sunday morning and that sound reaches a few of the local neighborhoods. I'm sure people were disturbed hearing Jesus Walks waking them up at 5 in the morning being blasted from those speakers. We all know the truth though that Kanye wanted to party in Atlanta until 3 in the morning at Young Jeezy's birthday bash, Atlanta Journal Constitution our local paper was there and took photos and same with MTV the photos don't lie but Kanye does.

I truly hope so, only if, they add Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic....that would get the weekend off in style

what about "special" meaning Thursday late night unopposed? That would be swee1.

While it would be sweet - it's not going to happen. I bet a LOT of roo goers will want to see NIN and if they put them on Thursday night (while many people are still getting into the festival) there won't be a lot of people to see them. Could lead to complaints.
If they put NIN on thursday they would have to publicly open up the farm Wednesday just to make sure a good amount of people get in
but with NIN, MGMT, moe., Ben Harper, and even possibly TMV playing at the same time, NIN on thursday would arguably have a bigger crowd. But no way that happens.

Which is why I said publicly open it up.....like make people aware on the website and ahead of time that it will open up on Wednesday. As of now it's kinda secret to those not "in the know" about them letting people in wednesday night.

If I show up Wednesday night, will I get a good camp spot or a bad one?
