Here is an update of the mock that I posted awhile ago. Def. hard to make a mock now with so many acts its hard to tell how they are going to schedule this year but I went with my best guesses. My schedule is pretty similar to Sangreals with a few key differences.

I love the speculation before the schedule gets announced!! Always very entertaining...
I like what you've got. Only I'm gonna have to miss Thursday this year due to work and too many friend's weddings this summer so I can't take as much time off for this weekend. I really want to see Delta Spirit, so I hope their not a Thursday act. But, that's just how it goes, I guess.
Otherwise, if your schedule was real the only major conflict issue I'd have would be Saturday afternoon. Though, if they do put all that bluegrass (Tony Rice/Grisman/Delmccoury) back to back on the same stage, same day that would probably be the winner for me.
Yeah I agree on hoping MGMT gets moved if anyone does. I can't see them moving Volta since it was their 2005 late night show that is the main reason for their return.
You say you hope they "get moved" as if they already have 100% confirmed late nights. If Volta gets a day slot it's not cuz they were "moved" from the late night. Same for MGMT.

No I know they aren't confirmed. I meant moved from like the speculative majority opinon lol.
So I'm really beginning to see Elvis Costello on the main stage. Now that we know he's playing with a band. I really think we might see Mule preheadline the Which Stage. Probably Booker T and DBTS into Gov't Mule on the Which Stage.
If Costello is with a band, I can't see him on the Which Stage, it'd draw too big a crowd I think. Anyone else think Costello will play main stage before Wilco.
the fact that it's a bluegrass kind of band makes me think he might actually be headlining a tent. it won't be an an average elvis costello show. might be which stage, but i definitely don't see him on what stage. also govt. mule has played what stage before i don't see them being moved down to which stage unless they are the late night.

cool.....i just wanted to make sure.
there are too many times when people on here (and other internet forums) begin to turn rumor/speculation into fact - and when that fact doesn't come true they bitch and moan.
i'm assuming mars volta get a late night but i wouldn't be upset if they pre-headlined or did some other time

Yeah that's true the whole Bluegrass band thing would probably make a tent or Which Stage. I think it probably is Which Stage. His name alone makes it a packed tent, ya know? I think considering what else is playing that day so far, I'd have to say Which Stage. I don't see Of Montreal, DelMccoury Band, Rodrigo y Gabriella, or any other act on Saturday closing out the Which stage over Costello.
Yeah Mule has played that slot a couple of times (2003 and 2004 I think). I wouldn't be surprised if it went either way. I'm hoping main stage is Mule and Wilco though.
I don't know how much faith I have in this schedule...I know conflicts will happen but Friday is stacked with conflicts and Saturday doesn't have a single one in my eyes. Hell, it almost has open time slots at certain points.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
You caught me. I want to see NiN but not an entire set...and TMV is kinda pointless during the day. I just see 5 latenight conflicts on friday and the superjam is the only exciting show on saturday (latenight). And sunday is oddly stacked with hip-hop acts....It just seems odd, but it's going to look different in everyone's eyes. I just always considered myself pretty laid back on what Im willing to listen to when given my options.
This is what kills me TVOTR/Santigold/King Sunny Ade Al Green/Yeah Yeah Yeahs The more Im looking at it the latenight isn't too bad, I can go CC to Galactic to Oakenfold without missing anything and still have femi kuti as a back up band incase someone doesnt impress. But that 3~4 pm area is still killer

I agree that Friday is the strongest day top to bottom. Saturday will be great as well but I think it is more top heavy then Friday is. Early Saturday will probably be pretty thin as far as great acts are concerned, but like always as long as you walk around and check out what is going on im sure you will find something that you like.
interesting info i just got from portugal the man in a myspace email. they are playing thur. and told me they're playing right before yeasayer.
Definitely interesting if true, and makes alot of sense to me that they would be playing Thursday night.
EDIT: Also if this is true I think this goes to show that most of the artists still dont really know when there going to play yet. Just a month ago a member of Yeasayer themselves said they would be playing Late night Saturday, now according to another band they are playing Thursday. Goes to show that you have to take everything you see with a grain of salt. I'm sure the schedule isnt even close to finalized yet.

yea, haha, it was me that yeasayer told that to. so now i have conflicting info from another band.

seems more logical to me that yeasayer is thursday then a prestigious latenight set. They still get the vibe of nighttime and the excitement of the first day of music but don't take up the crucial saturday latenight set

Hmmm not sure what to make of this. Yeasayer on Thursday would make a lot of sense. If Yeasayer can headline a tent on Thursday, I would also say that Raphael Saadiq could headline a tent. That would also mean that MGMT would probably be headlining a tent which I would assume would mean Wilco, Elvis Costello, Of Montreal, MGMT, and DelMcCoury Band at the same time. That would certainly divide the crowd and free up a late night slot for Super Jam on Saturday.
I don't think MGMT would get their own late night tent by themselves if Yeasayer is on Thursday.
Hmmm not sure which to believe but Thursday for Yeasayer seems much more logical to me.

I agree with this and hope that is the case. MGMT makes alot more sense to me as a tent headliner then a late night act. If Yeasayer/MGMT don't end up playing latenight Saturday that makes latenight Mars Volta alot more likely which makes me happy.

I agree that Yeasayer makes a lot of sense on Thursday. I wonder if maybe there'll be an Of Montreal/MGMT late night instead. I'd thought that OM made a lot more sense as a late night show, and I know that they've played a lot of shows together...

^^
I could see an of montreal/MGMT late night tent. they've toured together and played together. plus they have blikk fang their side band featuring members of both bands.

Yeah Of Montreal/MGMT seems likely if that's true. I still think Super Jam has to be a Sunday slot because of the lack of jam bands during the day. Not only that, but it would be unbalanced on Saturday night if it was late night
NIN- What Stage (at 3) Ben Harper - Which stage Mars Volta- Tent SuperJam- Tent moe- Tent
That's way too many jam bands for one night.
NIN- What Stage (at 3) Ben Harper- Which Stage moe. - tent Mars Volta- tent Of Montreal/ MGMT- tent
seems more likely
Looking at it now, Saturday looks somewhat weak in the tents as far as preheadliners go (granted we don't know who they are for sure). I'd say the day looks solid but I wouldn't be surprised if we have room for one semi-large addition and a couple of small ones if Yeasayer really is moved to Thursday.
I think they wouldn't be pushing it if they moved Elvis Costello to a tent if they could bring a larger band to Which Stage (maybe the Dead Weather, not to resurrect old rumors)
either: nin-what ben harper-which mgmt (maybe with of montreal or yeasayer)-this moe.-that super jam-other
or: nin-what ben harper-which tmv-this moe.-that superjam-the other mgmt/of montreal- this tent 5-6:30, 7-8:30 yeasayer-thur.
So you don't think there is any way Super Jam is a day slot on Sunday (the only jam band the entire day is Grace Potter so far). If it ends up being one of those two, I'd say it's the later.

not saying it's not possible. but i don't think it will be sun. also superjam is not always jam bands, i wouldn't call last year's a jam band or the led zep tribute 2 years ago.

Yeah that's a good point. Last year's definitely was not. Sunday is jam band lacking though. For "hippie Sunday" it defiantly lacks the normal number of jam bands.

yea, it's obvious hippie sunday is not happening this year. all the bluegrass is on sat. the only big jam band is phish. metal is on sun. things are different this year.
