Anyone think Raphael Saadiq could play the main stage into Al Green into David Byrne? Nothing really seems obvious for the Friday What Stage opener.
The last 2 years they have only had 3 musical artists on the mainstage on Friday. Do you think they will have more this year or something? Of course they did have Chris Rock last year as well making a 4th spot I suppose.

Well I just looked at all the past schedules only 3 artists on Friday since Roo's inception.

with Raphael now on Friday, I think our lineup is done with the addition of Phoenix. The Lovell Sisters moved to cover that gap on Sunday and it all now looks quite solid I think. I don't see them doing more than five bands in a tent on Saturday (except the bluegrass tent). In all honesty I think we may see Bruce doing a three to three and half hour set. I think he will be scheduled three and half hours because he always shows up late by like 15-30 minutes (in my experiences). His first show of the tour clocked in at 2 hours 40 minutes and I would be surprised if we did not get an extended encore at Roo.
Saadiq On Friday too? This is starting to piss me off.
Yeah I hear ya. It won't be as bad as it looks if he ends up opening the What Stage. I actually think as long as the last Friday addition is Kaki King, Friday will look pretty balanced. It seems like Friday is stacked from just a glance but its mainly the late night that are stacking it up. The weekend actually looks oddly proportional in the mocks (of course Friday has the most people and names though).

it's probably going to end up like Saturday last year (only David Byrne will not be unopposed like Jack Johnson was) because Beastie Boys are probably only playing two hours max so there will be probably be an extra act on all the stages and tents (5 during the day).

I thought Levon Helm in the Other Tent, and Dumpstaphunk in Something Else followed by Walter Woflman Jackson in Something Else, overlapped Jack Johnson's set last year.

yeah it did.
Okay, still though for the most part unopposed unlike most sets (which usually are opposed by something except headlining slots).

true. I think the reason they may have done that is due to him originally being scheduled as the Sunday headliner before the Allmans cancellation. Purely speculation though.

Probably so. Doubtful we'll see something like that this year, but who knows. After last year, I guess they could do all sorts of wacky stuff with the schedule.

I like the mock but I'm just not feeling Raphael Sadiq will be on the mainstage I think he might be a which stage act, the only bands right now I could see opening the mainstage is TV on the Radio, Gomez, or Galactic.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
good thing i don't make the schedules huh? i think santigold is going to end up being sat. can't figure out where to put her. i would put her on which stage, but mia didn't get which stage, she headlined a tent. santigold is not as big as mia. also need to fit phoenix somewhere in there i guess. i already moved tift merritt off of fri. maybe kaki king isn't fri. either?

I'm really beginning to think there will not be opening act on the What Stage (2:45-4). I think we might just start at 5. I think Al Green's start time is pretty exact considering his sight has it down the nearest ten minutes. Not only that but, Phoenix, Crystal Castles, and Animal Collective is starting to look like a late night to me much like the Money Mark/ Chormeo/ Ghostland late night from last year.
I just updated my mock to put Raphael on the Which Stage after reggae but the Which Stage looks weak in the afternoon but I guess its still do able (sometimes thats how it ends up).

If Cage the Elephant (were on the poster before and probably not a cafe act) gets added as well, it's really going to get messy. The only place they could go with little adjustment would be a Saturday tent which would make it 5 acts in every tent. At this point, I'm beginning to actually hope additions are done lol.
I think Friday still works if no one is actually on other days, its just really packed and tricky to pin down.
^ I really think Cage will be more of a Troo Music Loune type of act. I've seen them several times around Nashville, but I think they're still a growing band. If anything, Thursday night tent act, but I don't think they could fill a tent Friday-Sunday
First Sangreal why do you think Superjam will be on Sunday and not Saturday Night on your mock? I dont think MGMT by themselves in a tent latenight saturday makes much sense. I think that should def. be replaced with Superjam. Mark my words Superjam will involve members of Phish, it only makes sense. Seeing as they have Saturday off only makes sense to me that members of Phish will be involved in a latenight superjam.
Heymann Friday I dont think Phoenix will be late night, I think they will play during the day probably early afternoon. I also think you should switch Yeah Yeah Yeahs and TVOTR. I think they make more sense in a tent then YYYs but thats just me. Other then that your schedule looks pretty dead on to me. I suspect the final schedule will look alot like your mock. I hate how every mock has Band of Horses and Decemberists are conflicting, basically the only two acts im interested in seeing on Sunday other then Phish. Reminds me of last year when Plant & Kruss/DCFC/Broken Social Scene the only three I wanted to see on Sunday all conflicted with eachother. Why do they have to make Sunady suck so much?

band of horses will be on the which stage on sunday, decemberists will also probably back on the which stage, maybe sunday, could be saturday, we don't know, if they're both on sunday then one of those bands will probably be around 4ish, with the other closing out the which stage

I don't know, I could really see Andrew Bird on the Which Stage just because Band of Horses seems like more of a preheadliner to me than Andrew Bird (although it very well could be either one in either slot).

Yeah that does seem like more of a fit (TV on the Radio headlining the tent and YYYs on Which, I hope that ends up the case because I really want to catch YYYs but I'm set on Badu).

I hope your right, would love to see both of these acts. If they conflict I would def. go with Decemberists but it would suck not really having anyone else I want to see early on Sunday. (Assuming they end up on Sunday, which I hope they do.)
