Byrne has to be What mainstage or the Which stage, he is too big of an act to put in any of the tents, last time he played in 2004 he was on the What stage before Trey Anastasio closed out the festival.
^^^^^^ no doubt what or possibly which esp. with the tour he is presently doing. Lots of Talking Heads songs , I'd say more people are into that stuff than his solo material.
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
completely off topic. i mean seriously off topic but i feel i must tell others about this. i bought a new lcd tv tonight and after doing a channel search i know now have every hd channel, hbo, cinemax, encore, espn u, all the music channels... basically i have dtv from my BASIC CABLE. has this ever happened to anyone else before? i'm almost in tears im so happy right now.
and to try to stay on topic, i made a list today of each artists that i would like to see each day, including the numerous high caliber cafe artists. friday and saturday are completely stacked. thursday looks fun, too. but sunday is very much lame. oh well, i'm watching a 2008 college football game in hd on my basic cable right now! there IS a god! (jk)
I see the mock schedule has Oakenfold (and the other 'top' electronica acts) spinning Friday -any real reason why he'd be on Fri and not Sat? Putting the major DJs against Phish doesn't seem logical to me.
Looking back, while Tiesto spun on Fri in 2008, Sasha spun Saturdays in 2007 and 2006.
Amazing: Phish, Bruce, Amadou & Mariam, Vieux Farke Toure, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Wilco, NIN Good to great: Animal Collective, NIN, Jimmy Buffet, King Sunny Ade, Tobacco, MGMT, Passion Pit, Kraak & Smack Glad to have seen: Oakenfold, Grizzly Bear, Beastie Boys, of Montreal, Snoop Dogg

i bet some of the electronic music will be sat. i agree it doesn't make sense to have them all on one night. although i guess it would be an option for some people up against phish.
NIN-Ben Harper-MGMT-Moe-Bluegrass Superjam would be such a split crowd. i just dont see all of them on Saturday night. I say either Harper or MGMT arent late night or one is on friday swapping with Crystal Castles and Girl Talk.

anyone that can find out what day public enemy, the decemberists and shadows fall are playing, gets a prize. those are the only 3 on the lineup that haven't had a date announced somewhere.

Girl Talk got an hour two years ago, and with his increased stature I would expect him to get a little more time, at least 1 1/2 hours. But CC, definitely an hour or even 45 minutes.
So perhaps Crystal Castles 12:00-12:45 >>> Girl Talk 1:00-2:30 >>> Paul Oakenfold 3:00-5:00 (understood he'll play long after that)
Is the mock Sunday What stage lineup of PE >Snoop >Phish based on information someone has gotten or just speculation?
I'm just kinda curious, because that would annoy the hell out of me. I'd like to post up at the what stage most of sunday to have a good spot for Phish, and hopefully see some good sets leading up to it. But, if this turns out to be the case, there's no way I could make myself sit through PE and Snoop, that would just be too painful. So, I'd probably go to some other shows during the day and just be getting to the what stage right before Phish starts, which would likely mean I wouldn't get as good a spot... mmmm. I guess I'll find out when the schedule is released.

pollstar has snoop listed as sunday but that could always change/be wrong. PE don't have a date yet that we know of. that's probably just speculation and the what stage on sunday could change from what the mock schedule says.
i need a schedule so i can start listening to more bands.

Girl Talk's set, which he compiles prior to shows, is still pretty much just over an hour, so I don't expect him to get any more time
Did anyone notice how high Phoenix is on the ACL lineup. They are right between STS9 and Bassnectar and above other Roo artists like Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, Heartless Basterds, Passion Pit, and right under Andrew Bird and Girl Talk.
