a friend that i've convinced to go this year just sent me this in an email... "so... is it not possible to see everybody, how does that work?" I laughed. A lot. In '07 what I did with conflicts was try to catch a little of each, but last year I mostly just made a choice and stayed for more whole sets. I'm not sure which I preferred, honestly.
A lot if the time artists just list the first day of the festival, which makes it tough to know if they're actually Thursday or not. With an artist as big as Snoop, I'd be skeptical that he's actually Thursday.
that is solid confirmation. i was saying that it was crazy that we must have checked pollstar at the same time and came here to post what we found haha. galactic also has all good listed and i don't believe that lineup has been announced yet.

Pollstar is never 100% correct until the official Bonnaroo schedules comes out...we should all remember that.
I really do not think TMV and NIN will interfere with one another...that makes no sense. Plus, I would be VERY bummed if this is true.
My headline GUESSES are Beasties on Friday...Bruce on Saturday...and Phish on Sunday closing it all out.
NIN will be a VERY late night set (2:30AM) one of the nights...and Phish doing the same on the other. (fri or sat and vice versa)
As for the Ben Harper post about playing at midnight on Saturday...that is HIS website, and not the relentless7. Midnight on Saturday = SUPERJAM!!! And what is a Super Jam without Ben Harper?
Snoop on Thursday makes a lot of sense...I saw him at Camp Bisco last year and it was a GREAT way to open the festival.
I would LOVE to see Oakenfold but am afraid I will have to miss out if Galactic, R&G or the Lips are playing...yes, I said the "Lip..." because I have a gut feeling they will be there.
I think we are going to see a lot more "bigger" bands announced this year then years past...with the cancellation of Langerado and Phish being on the bill, other bands like the Lips, Disco Biscuits, Umphrey's etc will be jumping at the chance to play Roo!!!
This is all just MY opinion...no facts...just wishful thinking...120 something days to go...can't wait...5th Roo!!! June can not come fast enough...

I'll shoot my guy an email see if anything has changed or if he heard anything new, just so this forum knows he's not as obsessed as we are about Roo and he has other priorities in his life so he doesn't really make it a must to know everything about roo al the time. He has been to the last 2 roo's so he's no newcomer. I also like to not sound to demanding of info and try and make it casual conversation, plus i'm trying to get the hookup on the Atlanta Bruce show, but right now it all depends on if my guy is in town he moved out of state for his job for the last 6 months and it all depends on him being able to come in for the show. Anyways last update I got from him was 2 nights Phish, Springsteen on Sunday, and that was the day the bruce europe tour got annouced.

Totally fair question man. Historically, Thursday has not been a full day of music (typically 6pm - 1am) and the artists have been lesser known bands and up-and-comers. This is most likely due to the amount of people that have not made it to the fest yet. However, every year there's speculation about a possible Thursday headliner, but as of yet, this has not happened. I think there's a separate thread in this forum discussing the possibilities for bigger acts on Thursday, so you might want to check that out if you'r into the speculation.
P.S. Just so you know, I've always found Thursday to be nothing but another great night at Bonnaroo, regardless of who is playing. Getting settled in, meeting your neighbors, and checking out some bands you might not have normally seen is all great in my opinion.

A comedy act would be really awesome from what I have been reading for a Thursday night. I do agree with that! when do you think some of the other big named acts will be released?

i hope Bruce closes the fest bc this is one of the few ways my group is going to not want to leave sunday night. i want to leave monday regardless of whos playing when, but bruce playing sunday would allow me to go absolutely crazy for both Phish shows which is my goal

i think bonnaroo.com should release the schedule one hour at a time. like for each day, they should fill in one hour of the schedule. starting with the thurs. opening act and going through the sun. closing act.
that would make it so suspenseful and fun! and everyday we would have something to look forward to!

That would be cool, but the lineup isn't completely finalized until i think april-may. Not enough time to do that. But if they did a more moderate version of that would be cool.
