First off, what is that thing right by Camp Thunderlips? It's right next to it and 3rd ave and the food. It looks metallic and there's three of them. It's not on the legend, so just wondering. Actually, now that I look closer, it's all over centeroo.
Those would not be the "shitters" as someone else said - those would be official vendor tents. They may be selling pizza or water or other food of some sort - the "shitters" are indicated by the normals man/woman symbol that most toilets are identified by.
I don't see the place me and my pals camped in '07. We were in Camp Sloan Peterson which was tents only. Is this an updated map for '09? Or is this an '08 map?

I believe it is last years ('08) map. Plus - if you look - Sloan Peterson is still there - but VIP was expanded and took Sloan Peterson and Biff Tannin over and they made tent only smaller

this looks like it might be an 09 map, just because it has the bonnaroo baseball and garnier salon that were advertised for this year. i could be wrong though...would be cool if it was 09 though so id have it before i got there

if you're taking an rv, how do you manage to snag a spot at camp mcfly....can you bypass everybody and go ashbury road, and end up on bushy branch...will they let you in there? or will make you drive back?

Pussy Galore represent! IMO it was sort of like BFE, but me and my pal Austin didn't mind. The girls did, sew they ended up losing a huge chunk of their purses through the taxis, which were a nice addition that I used once or twice. I kind of like going a night early for BFE though. It lets you enjoy the camps, pods and adventures more during the no music downtime. Case in point: Saturday night. We we lost in more ways than one, and started using our car alarms to find our campsite... it worked, after twenty minutes which seemed like hours. Then we finally sat down and chilled as we were getting ready for bed... only to be like... "Is diamonds are forever playing in the background?" XD Perhaps you had to be there, but I for one enjoy the camp aspects just about if not almost as much as the music experiences at Bonnaroo.

'05 - Raymond Stantz (66)
'07 - Camp So Far Away It's Not Even on This Map - we were way the hell off on the east side. In '08 there wasn't even camping there. It was far, but we still had fun, I later calculated that we had walked something like 18 miles just going back and forth to the campsite.
'08 - Camp Jeff Spicoli (62) - someone in this thread called this camp "a bit of a walk." After being in deep BFE in '07 I felt like we were practically in VIP.
And just as a reminder: unless you have an access tag or you are in VIP there is no way of knowing really where you'll be so it's a great idea to go to the gym or start doing some walking in your neighborhood NOW so you will be used to it and it won't kill you. You can also use this time to break in some comfy shoes. Also, it's good for you anyway you lazy slug.
so, correct me if i'm wrong. all the green blocks are tent only? which means thats the closest to centeroo? but, also, can people with only tents be put in with the tent and car crew?
also, anyone wanna point out on the map where the shuttle drop off is?
gah!!! roo is so close! can't wait to see you all there. thanks for the info in advance.
does anyone know the mileage? i'm trying to get my out of shape body in roo walking shape, and i want to know how many miles it is from bfe to centeroo so i can "train" just in case i get stuck out there.
It is going to depend where your camped at. With in the gates of centeroo to the far side of What stage I think I was told was over 1/2 mile. Considering you wont take a direct route could be more.

I had a dream last night that I was walking from BFE and"eye of the tiger" was playing in the background. Maybe that's my mind's way of telling me to exercise before roo?

The four bright green blocks are tent only (no cars). Not sure what you mean by the second question, but if you don't have a car there's no reason you should be camping in the section that permits cars...unless you just don't want to haul all your gear to tent only.
I think the shuttle drop off is along First Avenue, close to where it runs alongside the VIP area.

i may have worded the question wrong. i was just wondering, if tent only fills up, can people be pushed back to the other camping, or the dreaded bfe.

You can camp anywhere in the camping area where you can find room, as long as that area has already been filled. In '07 we had a HUGE campsite (at least 30x90) and we lets lots of people use our open area as a tent only area since we were closer than the actual Tent Only.
If Tent Only fills up you can look around for some open space and ask the owners if you can pitch a tent there. But our situation was VERY unusual as they usually pack cars in pretty tight so I'm not sure how applicable your question is in reality.
Here's a aerial view of Roo with our '07 campite roughly indicated. We're the 3 white things (truck and 2 canopies) in the lower rignt corner.
