I started swimming, been doing it for about two months now. I went from being barely able to do half a lap to doing two laps in a row without stopping. Gonna get a tight swimmer's bod by next Roo (hopefully)
What a week! No booze, soda, solid food, caffeine or dairy. Just fruits & veggies thru a juicer.
I lost 11 pounds in 7 days, holy shit! I weighed myself 3 times cuz I couldn't believe it lol.
Days 3-5 were rough and I felt lethargic during that period.
I'm on day 9 and I haven't felt better in the last 8 years. My skin is clearer, I fall asleep easier, wake up feeling refreshed and I actually have the energy to do stuff now haha.
Just wanted to give a quick update =)
I went 16 days of just juicing. No sodas, coffee or solid food. Literally just fruits & veggies in a juicer. The first 7 days are tough. The first 3-5 days for me were the toughest. I'm normally a very relaxed and easy going person...I wasn't and did my best to avoid everyone.
I lost 20 lbs in 5 weeks and worked out a total of two hours. It's day 42 and since day 16, I've had a meal a day along with plenty of juice. Still sober (that's insane considering my history). Becoming and staying sober was my main goal and I still can't believe I've accomplished it. Still a weekly struggle, but it's getting easier over time.
Physically, my body has responded tremendously to all of the vitamins & nutrients from juicing. I feel like I've been given an IV of pure awesomeness every day. My body feels 5 years younger.
Losing the weight with juicing, and having my skin along with my mental clarity clear up from giving up the booze has done wonders for my self esteem. That mental fog has finally disappeared!

I am so sad that I left civilization Friday morning. My Thursday was extremely sub par compared to my usual steppage lately, but I ended up with 20k on Friday which should've put me right up there. Didn't get it all synced until a few hours ago I actually noticed that I get surprisingly little steps while dancing. Well... depends on what I am dancing to and how hard I am going. I got less than 1000 for 2 hours dancing to Electron, but I suppose it was more of a sway/bop that a full dance.

ok fitbit people. the same fitbit is 20 bux cheaper on amazon. is there a reason that I need to get it from fitbit rather than amazon?
I wouldn't think so. I would assume Amazon is an authorized Fitbit seller, which would be my only worry about getting it from "other" places. If your receipt isn't from one, you wouldn't be able to utilize their awesome customer service if you lose it.

My FitBit was purchased through Amazon, and FitBit CS replaced it when it came unclipped and I lost it. They also recently replaced the holder when a piece came off. They really do have the best customer service ever.

i just found this event happening tomorrow night, and it looks unique and awesome. i've been out of practice for the last few weeks since free classes ended, and trying to find free/cheap classes around the city. this one is in an old church turned creative event space. "BLACK YO)))GA is vinyasa style yoga set to drone, noise, stoner metal, ambient, industrial, space doom, and other traditional meditation music. Our goal is to form a heavy, meditative space and spread the benefits of yoga to people in our own art and music communities. People who may battle depression, anxiety, alcoholism, drug addiction, trauma/PTSD, phobias, dark passengers, etc. People who may not feel they fit into the typical yoga classes. People who, in all rights, may need the balance and release of yoga the most to lead rich and fulfilling lives."

I've heard of this before and love the idea. Th only place that I knew of it happening was Brooklyn (but I'm not exactly the yoga-ing type). I'm curious how this goes for you, beebee. They are putting out a instruction dvd/cd and Mrs GL is the type.

this is going to be the dvd release, so the class will basically be all of us doing the dvd together for the first time. i'll let you guys know how it goes!
My work is starting a Weight Watchers at Work program. Meetings on campus and reimbursement for the first 14 weeks if you don't miss a meeting. This is how I lost significant weight a few years ago, so I am going to do it! A big reason why I was so successful last time was because it coincided with my best friend/partner in crime getting wifeyed up. The majority of my negative influence when it comes to drinking, eating badly and happy hour was gone. I don't have that advantage this time around.

I'm already in a current Dietbet for this month, but I have plenty of money from previous winnings to join another!
Goals: -Hit the gym this weekend and start my plan. -Swim some more. I loved swimming at my apartment complex's pool, but it's cold out now so no can go for that :/

Post pics at the beginning and the end, other players vote on a winner between the 3 categories (weight loss, cutting, weight gain).
