how close is walmart to the radio station? any media people know of this? i'm thinking of leaving today and staying in walmart thru the night, waking up tomorrow and getting to the radio station before they open...

The radio station is about 3-4 miles from Walmart...They're both on Hillsboro Blvd...Go left when you pull out of Walmart, the radio station is on the right and it's tiny, so don't blink...there is a sign out front this week though..."Official Bonnaroo tickets here". Welcome to Manchester...Bonnarooooooo!!! ;D

Probably be there for a minute this year, but I'm heading in to Roo when they open the gate. Got my handicap tag, ready for some early Access partying!
A few in our group didnt agree to spend the night, but we'll be rolling thru to pick up food and maybe have a laugh with u rockstars. You guys think 8pm-ish wednesday night is a bad time to do our food shopping? They wouldn't run out of food supplies would they?

They may run out of some items but for the most part they overstock and are prepared for Roo.
No porta potties last year. I just went inside.
Just everyone be careful because there are undercover cops in addition to uniformed patrol. I saw one arrest last year but only because the guy was annhilated and bothering people. It would suck to make months of preparation only to get arrested the night before the biggest party of the year.

Hello All! First time poster, 2 year lurker. This will be my 2nd Roo (09), and I am so excited! So far my group consists of my boyfriend and I. We will be arriving in the Manchester area around 4-5AM on Thursday morning. Would Roo let us in at that time (We don't mind being in BFE) or should we go to Walmart and wait for a more reasonable time a little later that morning?
well I believe its physically impossible to be further away than I was last year, which was well past all of the pods, behind the private property pond. even if I paid the 5 dollars for a taxi ride I still had a 5-10 minute walk. this was arriving around 1 p.m. thursday, so basically what im hearing is that if you arrive wednesday night your a long way away as well... my question is, when do you arrive if you would like a short walk outside of tent only?
yeah that is sounding like the best bet... I travel ridiculously light anyways getting lost walking back to your tent until 7 am is not a good way to get sleep
I did tent only in "07 and am now, this evening, thinking of doing it again in '10. Haven't been to the crazy Wal-Mart scene either. Might make Wallyworld doable once again. Can't wait.

Wow, this whole time I didn't know it was them!
My friend taped a bout 45 minutes of them, and got video of some wasted guy ( who before was messing with allot of people) jump up on the car with them, get pulled away by cops, being an ass to the cops, getting hit by a taser, put in the back of a cop car, and everyone around gave the cops a huge applause.

A buddy had a question, I thought someone here might know.
If you bring an RV on Wednesday night, do they let you in? I told him I didn't think they would, as there is no RV camping in BFE. Anyone had experience with this?
