That was fun game. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. I think Kdogg deserves mass karma for refereeing and dealing with this mess as well as the new roles. Also, karma to Steve for figuring it all out and taking out the mafia bastards.
^ How about one person is designated odd, the other even. They both pm the referee a number. If those numbers added together equal an odd number, that person stays.
Odd number + even number = odd number. Always.
Really??? Did you honestly think I didn't know that?
Both people chooses a number, 1-10. If a person is designated "even" they don't necessarily have to choose an even number.
Ex. Person A picks 3, Person B picks 5. 5+3=8. The person designated even would win. It's basically a coin flip without the coin.
The Townspeople have scattered around The Farm seeking out the missing JPbrez. They have collectively scoured every square inch of the campgrounds, seeking their missing cohort, and have turned up nothing. Suspecting that JPbrez has to be somewhere in Centeroo, they talk kdogg, Meg & Boz into guarding the entrances while they continue searching. They split Centeroo into sections, with everyone searching a section. JPbrez still has not turned up after intensifying the search inside Centeroo. Slowly but surely, the Townspeople run into one another and search together... but still, nothing. Eventually, the surviving Townspeople ran into each other and continued their search as a posse. At this point, they heard the commotion from some unusual figures behind them...
Steve, Handgun, Bek, MsFeli and BlueCadet turn around in unison. To their surprise, a random parade has spontaneously begun behind them. The Krewe of Roo is out in full force - marching band, stilt-walkers, fire-breathers, and other various performance artists in tow. The spectacle is enough to take the Townspeoples' minds off their worries, at least for the moment...
...when suddenly, BlueCadet goes down, his head splattering with the impact of a bullet.
Later, Meg swears that she saw a burly guy with a moustache and smiley-face button, laughing as he ran into the VIP area. Boz disagrees - he doesn't think that mysterious man was positioned properly to pull off the shot... Regardless of the sniper's identity, BlueCadet has died.
Day Four has ended, and with it -Mafia 13 has concluded! The Townspeople have won!
Your mafia were: Rooconteur Fishingmaniac BlueCadet
Your Inspector was Steve. Your Vigilante was Handgunhips. Your Nurse was Sadie. Everyone else was a Townsperson.
I'd like to thank you all for putting on such an interesting game.
Really??? Did you honestly think I didn't know that?

You wrote this in a confusing manner. I interpreted this as one person as an even number and one person as an odd number. Now that you clarify it, it makes more sense... I just didn't see that on the first read.
Love the story!! I have to say - I loved being on the sidelines and watching this game. Kdogg gave me a heads up early on as to roles (which is why I just kept my mouth shut and issued no commentary) and it was a blast to know who was who and watch the game progress
Is it just me, or are the death stories way more violent this game? lol
This made me smile, because I wrote all of the mafia death stories. Kdogg gave me the oportunity to write the last one since I was "into epic, brutal killings". I don't have time to write it at work, but I just came up with a great one when I checked in to see tht the game was over. Damn shame. The CODfather would have really delivered on that one. ;D
Nice game folks. Well played Steve. You have me against the ropes. I di what I could.

I think if there wasn't the nurse role, Steve would have been a little hesitant in openly admitting he was the inspector and the game would have gone on a round or two more. But the townspeople didn't make it easy for us. Runoff vote with Rooconteur and HGH and then the runoff in round 2 with Fish made it hard to conceal our identity and it gave you guys more opportunities to see how us mafia members voted.

just got home from work.. glad you all proceeded with the vote.. i would have said to go on as well.
YAY for the townspeople.
this game was very different than i expected. i agree that the inspector was safer with a nurse... but it made me realize how much easier it is for the inspector to figure out who really is mafia! i am glad i survived the whole game!
I knew handgunhips was bad news from the beginning. If only that run-off went the other way, the mafia would have dominated.
I might have to agree with you on this.
That first round definitely defined the game, what with eliminating a Mafia on the first vote and the Mafia unexpectedly whacking another role player at night. That's when I knew this was going to be a good game.

:]
I'm sorry to Jack, who I killed. I was convinced that a mafia member was staying quiet-- and I tried to kill one that I thought might have been mafia. At that point, I was really confused. It didn't hurt us in the end, but I'm still super sorry.
I told you guys I wasn't mafia from the beginning as much as I could without letting on that I was the vigilante, because if that had happened-- I would surely have been killed.
It was such a good game! I really liked fishing as mafia. He was a good one.

I was amazed that HGH survived the first runoff. I also can't believe I got enough people to fall for that line of bullsh*t I laid out in the second runoff. I was pretty proud of that. ;D

^^^lol, you were a fearmonger. So many people voted in your favor to avoid your accusatory fingerpointing. But my hat is off to you for really staying with in in Day 3. You came up with some good BS, but I could taste blood so I was relentless. It was fun. I got almost no work done that day, heh.
What surprised me was that the Inspector & Vigilante made themselves fairly clear, yet the mafia didn't try to whack either of them.
But what surprised me most was that the Mafia still went along with the plan to whack Tara, even after I delayed that decision with a few PMs hoping they'd reconsider... I didn't explicitly give them advice, but I was hoping they'd change their minds there.

^^ Does that mean you were rooting for them? ;] Heh..
I was concerned the mafia realized I was vigilante and were trying to buy me over. I thought superbek might have been mafia for awhile because she changed her vote from me, and I considered that mafia members might have done that to make me feel like I shouldn't kill them off because they saved me. I over thought that role.
edit: Also, I don't understand why the mafia didn't kill off either Steve or I either. We both had basically called each other out on our roles-- I called Steve out on Inspector, not thinking about it getting him killed, and he told me I sounded like the Vigilante.. all in the first round. Even if we both were wrong, the mafia didn't even seem to take notice.

I felt it was way to risky to kill Steve when we learned he was the Inspector. Plus he already called Me and Fish out so if we killed him it would have been really suspicious. And after the runoff in the 1st round, it would have looked very suspicious to kill HGH. Plus HGH ended up voting with the mafia against Mike the second round.
Post by steveternal on Mar 10, 2009 21:33:24 GMT -5
^^^Yeah, I don't know how much you suspected HGH was the Vigilante, but you did well to intimidate her into trusting you rather than just killing her. That way, she took out an extra townsperson for you.

It's all gravy - I was pretty sure you were mafia as well, just from how defensive you were getting at points. Every post it seemed you were saying "trust me, I'm on the townspeople's side" - I should've taken your word for it.
Well, that was fun. I'm down for the next round, whenever that may be.
I thought superbek might have been mafia for awhile because she changed her vote from me, .
I changed my vote because I knew you were either mafia or the vigilante. When I said I felt your sincerity, I meant it. I just knew you were on our side.
and I haveta say that I do agree with bluecadet about the nurse role. However on the other hand I would like to see a game where the nurse doesn't die in the beginning. B ut thanks for having my back, saide!

Once you get started it's easy to figure out. I had no idea how to play and this is my second game. When you read the rules it's cake. Thing is the rules change a little each game it seems.
I would love to play 14 but I'm swamped with work travel, fishing trips and playing gigs for the rest of th month. I would gladly contribute a death story or two if need be. ;D I just don't want to hold up the voting.
