i am looking to trade my 2 fenway tix for 2 tix to any of the shows on the east coast (preferably the PA or MD show). fenway was the only lotto i won, but something at work came up and now i'll have to work that weekend. if interested pm me.
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.
well, im considering showing up at 1 or 2 - just to observe the scene and get my tickets (im at will call). the BBW is a decent bar to drink and eat at - one of the only ones in the immediate area with cask brews, so that is a plus.
I have no idea what time I'll be there, but I'm thinking the earlier the better. I once missed 6 innings of Red Sox vs. Yankee's while driving around looking for a place to park. So I won't let something like that happen again.
usually you can find a spot on one of the side roads up on the right from fenway. or at least spring for parking in that lot. shakedown there? probably.
want to meet up for a beer or 5 before the show? there is a boston beer works right at the top of landsdown st.
(also, this would apply to all inforooers going to phenway - we should have a meetup!)
we should definately have an inforoo meetup. working out the plans at the moment. staying at one of my friends who lives out there. taking the train from quincy.

if anyone is worried about parking just take the t in to the park. the station is right of exit 14 on the turn pike and it's $5 to park and $4 round trip on the t if any one needs directions i can help you out.

What is this that I'm hearing that Fenway has a 10:30 curfew for concerts? True/False? I was debating taking the train but wasn't sure if the show would get out after the trains stop.
most likely this is true. but will they stick to it?
there would be a huge fine if they dont (but im sure money isnt the issue). im guessing the speakers would be shut off if they try to play much past 11. this will also be the same problem at mansfield. roo would be the only "long" sets i will get to see them play.
where would you be taking the train from?
edit: how late do redsox games go? on sat night, they seemed to get out around 11... ive heard of later games though...

It'd be easiest for me to take the commuter rail from Franklin. According to the mbta website, the last train out of South Station should be 11:20pm so I should be fine. But I'm not sure if I'm reading it correctly.
Sox games have definitely gone later. I've been there up till 1am.

yeah i've been at sox games until 2a.m. before which makes for along night. i don't know if you would want to take the commuter rail if the last train is at 11:20 cause south station is kind of a hike from fenway so you would have to really move to get there in time if they play until 11. that last t runs until 12:50 and that will take you back to 95 which wouldn't be a bad drive back to franklin if that's where you're from.

Yeah, if they run past 10:30 then it will definitely screw things up. And I definitely don't want to be leaving early just to catch a train. I'd rather be stuck in Boston.
