^I think what everyone keeps forgetting is that we are closing out our spring weather patterns here in TN. In two weeks, the weather will be transitioning to our summer pattern, which means less prolonged rain. We can expect a frequent thundershower here and there, but to think that we will get sustained rain for four days is unlikely. And as the humidity goes, I grew up in Memphis, get over it (you folks from MS and LA can agree with me).
^^^ That's a good point. I for one am just obsessing over all things 'Roo right now, so I am certain I am MORE than over-analyzing this... and I know I'm not the only one..... ;D
I'm from Houston which is like a giant armpit during the summer. I'm immune to any weather excpet snow. If it is "too hot" or "too humid" or "too wet" I am going to perch on my tent and yell "CMON! IS THAT THE BEST YOU GOT!" Ala leutinent dan in forrest gump.
Garth Algar: Do you ever get the feeling Benjamin's just using us?
Wayne Campbell: Good call. It's like he wants us to be liked by everyone. I mean Led Zeppelin didn't write tunes everybody liked. They left that to the Bee Gees.

The past 3 years i've found myself worrying about the weather and possible downpours at roo..........then I get there and don't really care what happens.
A bit off topic, but with all of the recent rain, does anyone think mosquitoes will be a factor this year? We didn't have any bug issues at all last year.

Yes! The lil effers already bit me a bunch on this past weekend but granted, it's still pretty damp with standing water in some places here. *But* I read somewhere and at the moment I can't find it, you're not supposed to layer bug repellent and sunscreen as it reduces the effectiveness of both. Here's to hoping the suckers will stay away and I bring my clear calamine just in case.

Pick up the new "clip on" Cutter device. You just hang it on a belt loop or purse strap or your chair and it is just as effective as actually putting on bug spray and it will not interfere with your sun screen. ;D
I for one think misquitoes will be minimal. In the early Roos it was wet and there were no misquitoes (except maybe in BFE). They must really spray the area and chemicalize the ponds to keep the insect down.
That being said I will be bringing some OFF just in case.
well the way i see it there are 80,000 people at roo, so all i have to do is make myself less appetizing than 79,999 people. So I eat lots of garlic and spicy food, I dont know if this really helps but I like to think that it keeps the bugs at bay.
I live a couple hrs outside of Roo county and as of right now its a little wet,and evenings are still a little chilly. I've heard bugs are already out,but I haven't seen many...
What they say is so true-IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WEATHER IN TENNESSEE,WAIT 10 MINUTES. LOL
