Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This is my fourth year going to Bonnaroo, consecutively. All previous years, excluding a brief shower or passing storm cloud have been dry. However, I know in years past there have been some wet ones, including 2005. This year we have been getting way above average rain so far.
I think it would be a good idea for those of you that were at one of these muddy soakers to pass along some advice and tips for the rest of us.
Don't get me wrong, we are Rooers and will happily play with the hand we are dealt! But a little bit of preparation goes a long way.
^ There is a thread debating the relevance of Crocs. I think they are the best shoes for Bonnaroo. You have the best of both worlds: straps and no straps.
HA! The wetter spring has already ruled out a repeat of Dustaroo `07. I don't think we'll see 3 inches of dust on top of firmly compacted clay again. That's a relief. A mudpit is a little worrisome. Just pray, baby. Just pray....and if they predict heavy rain, bring some boots that won't come off.

I would rather it not rain due to the humidity. It can be a hundred degrees as long as it's not ridiculously humid. A lil shower here and there will only make it worse, imo.

The heat at Roo is the only downer for us. Overcast is good, rain then sun equals steam bath. I couldn't wait each day till the sun set and I could get something in my stomach. The plus is I lost 7 pounds over the weekend. I will hope for dry cooler weather for you guys this year, have fun.

Damn, I couldn't afford to lose seven pounds but I think I made enough preparations to stay semi comfortable. We'll see.
I def already bought my galoshes after having only sandals in 2004. Well, I had sandals, but the roo mud god took them as a sacrifice on the way to see Trey.

the heat can be a little rough (especially for me being pretty fair skinned) but overall I prefer it even to being overcast. Something about the sun shining down on you all day at Bonnaroo really makes me feel alive

It's Tennessee in June. It'll be pretty humid whether it rains or not...I would love a repeat of last year's weather...the rainy night was the most fun of the four!

For real, last year wasn't too bad. And the rainy night was freakin' awesome! My Morning Jacket had one of the coolest sets in the down pour. It was almost like they were in sync with the weather. Man, that was such a fun night!

I liked 04. Sure it rained hard for a few hours but it was one of the hottest Roos I remember so it was a relief and our campsite was properly prepared. Plus after it was done it created insane mud up by Centeroo and the What stage which led to some of the funniest moments I have seen at Bonnaroo.
I can see an '04 repeat. With all this rain the humidity will be high, increasing the likelihood of afternoon storms and the Accuweather 15 day forecats has temp next weekend in the 90's with heat indices of 105-110. That type of heat and humidity can cause scary things to happen.
Sounds like '04 to me.
Of course WeatherWiz has it cooling into the high 80's for Roo like heat indices in the high 90's. Still a recipe for trouble but not quite as bad. I'd almost guarantee some showers this year, at least. Bring an extra tarp.
